Puducherry: The Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) programme will be held on January 19 in the union territory. According to an official release on Wednesday, as many as 88,000 children below five years would be administered the polio drops on that day at 452 booths.
National Rural Health Mission Director Dr Mohan Kumar presided over a meeting in this regard on Tuesday in which all deputy directors of health department, IPPI coordinators, supervisors pediatricians and medical officers participated.
