New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi have announced vacancies for the post of Junior Resident on an regular basis in various departments.
Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects to all the specialties.

Instructions for Eligible Candidates?
1. The application should be submitted online through the website(www.vmmcsjhrecruitmentexams.ac.in)
2. Applicants should submit their application online, along with scanned copies of all relevant documents in support of their candidature for the post. One recent passport-size photograph and signature should also be uploaded.
3. Following documents needs to be uploaded at the time of online registration.
Permanent DMC Registration Certificate or DMC registration receipt
EWS/PWD/Caste Certificate, if applicable
Secondary School Certificate (10th class)
MBBS Degree
Internship Certificate on or after 01.07.2023
FMGE Certificate for FMG candidates

6. (i) For OBC Candidates - please attach certificate from appropriate authority, which is meant for the post under the Central Government of India, and must Certified that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of Certificate should be on or after 01.04.2025.
(ii) For SC, ST candidates - certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank officer in format of State Govt / Central Govt. of India.
(iii) For EWS candidates - submit copy of Income & Asset Certificate as per given Annexure-II having date of issue on or after 01.04.2025 valid for financial year 2025-26 Candidates must ensure that he/she falls under EWS category otherwise their candidature will be rejected.
7. Crucial date for determination of eligibility will be the last date of submission of online application.
8. The tenure of Junior Resident is one year including any service rendered earlier as Junior Resident on adhoc/regular basis in any Govt. of India/State Government hospital/institution. .
9. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed from time to time by the Govt. of India.
10. The candidate who is already employed should submit No Objection Certificate from present employer at the time of joining.
11. The candidate must bring all the uploaded certificates and any other relevant documents in original for document verification at the time of joining.
12. No correspondence shall be entertained after the last date for receipt of application.
13. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the exam & interview.
14. No separate call letters for written examination and interview will be issued. Candidates are advised to visit official website (www.vmmc-sjh.mohfw.gov.in) at regular interval for all further notifications.
15. List of shortlisted candidates for counselling and final selected candidates will be displayed on the official website (www.vmmc-sjh.mohfw.gov.in).
16. Tentative date of joining will be 01.07.2025. However, candidates may be called4-5days before the tentative date of joining for document verification and medical examination.
17. Candidate has to submit only ONE APPLICATION . If multiple applications receives from the same candidate, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected.
18. Admit Card for written examination can be downloaded after log in the online registration portal (www.vmmcsjhrecruitmentexams.ac.in). Candidates must bring hard copy of admit card along with original identity card i.e. aadhar card/pan card/voter card/driving license/passport at the time of written examination.
