New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (SJH and VMMC), New Delhi has invited online applications for the post of Senior Resident on an Ad hoc Basis in various departments. The selection will be based on the Through Interview.
Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects in all the specialities.

The Vacancies are in the Departments of Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Bio-Chemistry, Cancer Surgery, Cardiology, CTVS, Endocrinology, Hematology, Lab Oncology, Medical Oncology, Medicine, Microbiology, Nephrology, Neuro Surgery, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatrics, Paediatrics Surgery, Pharmacology, Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, Radiotherapy, Renal Transplant, Respiratory Medicine, Surgery and Urology.

How to Apply For Eligible Candidates?
Applicants should submit their application in the prescribed format as per Annexure-1 along with the attested copies of all the relevant documents in support of their candidature for the post. One passport size photograph should also be appended. The application addressed to the Medical Superintendent, VMM College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi-110029 should be submitted in the DIARY & DISPATCH SECTION of this institution (near Gate no. 2 and adjacent to Bank of Baroda, Safdarjung Hospital Branch). The application sent by post must have written on the top of the envelope "Application for the post of Senior Resident on Adhoc basis in the Department of_______''.
What is the General Instruction For Candidates?
1. Undertaking in the application form must be signed by the candidate.
2. The institution will not be responsible for any postal delay.
3. Crucial date for determination of eligibility with reference to age, educational qualification, experience, etc. will be the last date of submission of the application form in this institution.
4. Candidate must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council. DMC registration certificate for both MBBS and PG is mandatory with the application. Application of the candidates without a DMC registration certificate (for both MBBS and PG) will be summarily rejected.
5. The appointment will be initially for a period of 89 days, which could be extended for a further period of 89 days, subject to the satisfactory work & conduct report from the concerned HOD. The maximum tenure of a Senior Resident will be three years including any service rendered earlier as Senior Resident on an Adhoc/regular basis in any Govt. of India/State Government hospital/institution.
6. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed from time to time by the Govt. of India.
7. The candidate who is already employed should submit a No Objection Certificate from the present employer. Reliving is required from the present employer before joining. No extension will be granted for relieving.
8. Inter-hospital/Institution transfer shall not be permitted.
9. The candidate must bring the following original certificates at the time of the interview-
a. Certificate in support of age (10th certificate)
b. Registration with DMC for both MBBS and PG.
c. Mark sheets of MBBS / BDS / MD /MS / DNB /MDS (all years).
d. Internship Completion Certificate.
e. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Pass & Experience Certificate.
f. SC/ ST/OBC certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India.
g. EWS candidates to submit a copy of Income & Asset Certificate as per given Annexure-III having date of issue on or after 01.04.2022 (valid for the year 2022- 23) vide OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of DOPT, Ministry of Personnel & Public Grievance & Pensions, New Delhi.
h. Undergraduate and post-graduate attempt certificate.
i. Experience certificate, if any.
j. No Objection Certificate, if employed in Central Govt / State Govt / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies.
**Candidate must submit the latest OBC certificate issued on or after 01-04-2022 by the competent authority of State/Govt. of India in the format prescribed by DOPT, Govt. of India for appointment to Central Government post (as per given below Annexure-II).
10. No correspondence shall be entertained after the last date of closing of the application.
11. Incomplete or/and un-signed application will be rejected and no communication will be entertained in this regard.
12. No separate call letters for interviews will be issued. Candidates are advised to visit the official website (www.vmme-sjh.nic.in ) of this institution at regular intervals for all further notifications.
13. List of eligible candidates and selected candidates will be displayed on the official website (www.vmmc-sjh.nic.in) of this hospital.
14. Tentative date of joining will be the last week of June 2022.
15. The candidate has to collect his/her offer of appointment from the Academic Section after displaying of the final result. The offer of appointment will stand canceled, if accepted to the post will not be received within the stipulated time period and the selected candidate will not join the post by 30th June 2022.
16. A candidate has to submit only ONE APPLICATION mentioning clearly only ONE DEPARTMENT in which he/she intends to apply. If multiple applications or one application in multiple subjects is/are received from the same candidate, all of his/her applications will be summarily rejected.
17. Application of the candidates with DM/M.Ch/FNB/DNB(Super Specialty) qualification will be considered and selected for Adhoc appointment if the candidate(s) with MD/MS/Diploma/DNB(BS) qualification is/are not available in the respective speciality/department, subject to a maximum period of one year only.
Jurisdiction of Dispute - In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction of the court will be Delhi only.
