Kolkata: The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced vacancies for the Specialist and General Duty Medical Officers Posts in IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) Burnpur Hospital on a Contractual Basis. The selection will be done based on a walk-in interview.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is an Indian public sector steel manufacturing corporation based in New Delhi. It is the largest government-owned steel producer, with an annual production of 18.29 million metric tons. Incorporated on 24 January 1973, SAIL has 54,431 employees and is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel. IISCO Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited is an integrated steel plant located at Burnpur, a neighbourhood in Asansol city, in the Asansol subdivision of Paschim Bardhaman district, West Bengal, India.

SAIL Vacancy Details:

Total no. of Vacancies:- 20

Specialist:- 14

The Vacancies are in the Department of Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pulmonary, Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Pathology, Medicine, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Public Health.

General Duty Medical Officer:- 06

The date for the walk-in interview is 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th March 2025.

Venue:- Office of CMO I/C (M&HS), Burnpur Hospital Burnpur- 713325, Dist: Paschim Bardhaman.

What are the General Conditions for Eligible Candidates?

1. Candidate must be an Indian national possessing requisite qualification from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India/ National Medical Commission/ State Medical Council (SMC).

2. Eligible & interested candidates need to appear in the walk-in-interview on the date, time & venue as mentioned in the SCHEDULE FOR INTERVIEW, with all relevant documents(original + 1 set of self-attested photocopies of the same):

a. Filled in application format (Annexure-B) with 4 additional passport sized recent colour photographs.

b. Letter of Undertaking (Annexure-A)

c. Proof of Date of Birth (Class X / Matriculation certificate of recognized Board or Council)

d. Class X / XII Mark sheet and Pass Certificate

e. MBBS Mark Sheets of all years

f. MBBS Degree/Passing Certificate

g. MBBS Registration Certificate (Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC) having valid practitioner license and enrolled in the State Register or the National Register)

h. Internship completion certification (For GDMOs)

i. PG Diploma/PG Degree Mark Sheets

j. PG Diploma/PG Degree Passing Certificate

k. PG Diploma/PG Degree Registration Certificate (Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC) having valid practitioner license and enrolled in the State Register or the National Register)

l. Experience Certificate showing relevant post qualification experience from the employer. (In case of retired employees, service certificate issued by the parent organization should be given).

m. NOC from the present employer, if employed under PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/Govt. Department.

n. Photo Identity Proof (either Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID).

o. Address proof (Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card or others).

p. Category/Caste Certificate SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS and PwBD Certificate (if applicable). The OBC candidates who belongs to “CREAMY LAYER” are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as “General”. The OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in the prescribed format issued in the current financial year (2024-25) issued on or after 01/04/2024 and before 31-03-2025. Caste certificates should be submitted in the format for appointment to posts under Government of India/Central Government/Public Sector Undertaking (format available on our website www.sail.co.in at “Careers” link) issued by the Competent Authority.

q. A self-certification that he/she has not separated through Voluntary Retirement (For ex- employees of SAIL / nonSAIL).

3. All certificates & documents in support of eligibility will be verified only during ‘Walk-in-Interview’ and any candidate who fails to produce the same will not be allowed to appear in the interview. Therefore candidates are required to ensure their eligibility before appearing in the ‘Walk-in-Interview’.

4. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending ‘Walk-in-Interview’ / selection process.

5. The engagement is purely of temporary nature and shall not create any right for regular appointment in IISCO Steel Plant on any ground whatsoever.

6. Joining of the candidate is subject to medical fitness.

7. SAIL, ISP reserves the sole authority to consider the cases as per its rules and decision of SAIL, ISP in this regard shall be final, firm & binding.

8. SAIL, ISP reserves the right to reject any application or cancel the candidature or the whole process of interview without assigning any reason thereof and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection. The decision of the SAIL, ISP for this purpose shall be final and binding.

9. Candidature of an applicant is liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection process or after selection, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or is found not to be in conformity with requisite eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.

10. In case of any dispute on interpretation of any part of this advertisement, howsoever arising, the decision of the Company shall be final and binding.

11. A discipline-wise category wise panel will be formed in order of merit (in the ratio of 1:1 i.e no. of candidates in merit: no. of candidates in panel) which will be operated in case of non-joining of candidates against initial offer of appointment. The panel will be valid for a period of six months from the date of approval.

12. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Asansol.
