Maharashtra: Gynaecologist arrested for cheating a surgeon of Rs 2.5 Crores
Andheri: A gynecologist from the state has been arrested by the Economic Offence Wing, for cheating Rs 2.5 Crores from an associate surgeon on pretext of selling his Borivili located Pratik nursing home.
According to the Dna, the 62-year accused gynecologist, Dr Kirtikumar Shah reportedly took cash money from Dr Deepak Patel,46, on the ruse of selling his said property situated at MG Road. Immediately after the alleged cash transaction took place, Shah backed out.
In a statement Dr. Deepak Patel said “After giving him the initial amount he agreed to handover the property documents but failed to do so. He then started ignoring our calls and did not handover the property, later denying that we even paid him any money at all. So we filed a complaint against him.”
After pursuing the matter for two years the Kandivli Police has finally arrested the gynecologist and booked him under section 420 of IPC.
