BSV Successfully Hosts Gynovation 2024: A Resounding Success in Women's Health Innovation
Mumbai: Bharat Serums and Vaccines (BSV), a leading biopharmaceutical company in India, organized Gynovation - A Women's Health Conclave recently on 20th July 2024. This digital conclave, brought together leading obstetricians, gynecologists, and industry experts to showcase and explore innovations and advances in gynaecology and India's progress in women’s health.
The event served as a kick-off to establish Gynovation - which will be a forum for regular deliberation amongst the experts in women's health on innovations and advances in the field. The kick-off event was attended by approximately 950 attendees who gathered to listen to the stellar line-up of speakers for the day.
Key highlights of the event included presentations from renowned experts: Dr. Jaydeep Tank, President of FOGSI; Dr. Parikshit Tank, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, ART Specialist, and Treasurer of FOGSI; Dr. Ratna Devi, Director of the Patient Academy for Innovation & Research and Chairwoman of the ISPOR Patient Council; Dr. V. P. Paily, Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology; and Dr. Kshitiz Murdia, Chief Executive Officer of Indira IVF.
The event began with a session by Dr. Jaydeep Tank, President of FOGSI, who presented on the latest "Innovations in Instrumental Delivery", focusing on advancements in obstetric care. Dr. Tank's insights highlighted the importance of continuous improvement and innovation in the field to ensure better outcomes for mothers and infants.
Following this, the day saw Dr. Parikshit Tank, a consultant specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, ART, and Treasurer of FOGSI, delivered the keynote address on "Upcoming Gynecological Innovations". Dr. Tank emphasized the emerging technologies and practices that are set to revolutionize gynecological care, providing a roadmap for future developments in the field.
Following this, in engaging interview, Dr. V. P. Paily, a senior consultant in obstetrics and gynecology, shared his experiences and insights as a leading innovator in the field. The session, named "A Candid Interview with a Leading Innovator in Gynecology", showcased Dr. Paily's contributions and the innovations that have shaped modern gynecological practices.
Dr. Kshitiz Murdia, CEO of Indira IVF Group, spoke about "Developing a Growth Mindset in Gynecology". Dr. Murdia's session, titled "Growth 2.0", focused on the importance of fostering a mindset geared towards growth and innovation to advance the field of gynecology.
The event concluded with a session by Dr. Ratna Devi, Director of the Patient Academy for Innovation & Research and Chairwoman of the ISPOR Patient Council. She led a critical discussion on India’s progress in women’s health. Her session, titled "Discussion on India’s Progress in Women’s Health", underscored the strides made in the country and highlighted areas that still need attention to champion women's health.
Through Gynovation 2024, BSV has established a new forum for promoting advancements in women’s health in India. The forum will continue the discussions through regular expert sessions to deep-dive on specific innovations that will ultimately help the country in achieving more milestones in the progress with women’s health. These initiatives firm up BSV’s commitment to the field complementing its formidable portfolio of drug solutions for diverse gynaecological needs.
The Government of India is a signatory to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include a target to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio (MMR) to fewer than 70 deaths per 100,000 live births by 20301.
