NBE changes NEET PG 2024 exam pattern last minute
With the last-minute changes to the NEET PG 2024 exam pattern, the doctors are concerned over the National Board of Examination (NBE) decision.
Announcing modifications in the exam patterns in all MCQ-based examinations, such as NEET-PG, NEET-MDS, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB-PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, and FET, the NBE recently introduced mandatory time-bound sections. However, doctors under the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) have expressed concern over these last-minute revisions in the NEET-PG 2024 exam pattern opining that such significant changes require adequate time for adaptation and preparation, which the current timeline does not afford.

NEET exam cheating: 3 arrested in Delhi, 4 in Rajasthan as 'fake' candidates

In a plot reminiscent of a scene from the Munna Bhai movie series, a similar scandal has unfolded in a crackdown on cheating during the NEET-UG exams. Authorities in Delhi and Rajasthan have apprehended several individuals for allegedly impersonating candidates, shedding light on the pervasive issue of fraud in competitive examinations.

In New Delhi, three individuals were nabbed for posing as fake candidates during the NEET exams at South Delhi schools. Their arrest, following alertness from school authorities, underscores the collaborative effort between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies to combat cheating.

Meanwhile, in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a more intricate scheme was exposed. An MBBS student, Abhishek Gupta, was caught impersonating a NEET aspirant, revealing a racket involving his college mate and the aspirant's brother.


Should ayurveda practitioners have the same retirement age as allopathic doctors?
The question of whether Ayurvedic Doctors should be granted extended service periods and retire at the same time as Allopathic doctors is now being considered by the Supreme Court.
While considering a plea filed by the Rajasthan Government against the Rajasthan high court Order granting enhanced superannuation for Ayurvedic Doctors on par with Allopathic doctors, the Ape Court bench comprising of the Chief Justice of India issued notice in the matter on Friday i.e. on May 3rd, 2024.

Kerala doctor duped of Rs 3.42 crore
In yet another case of cyber fraud reported from the city, a 53-year-old doctor became a victim of an online trading and investment scam leading to a loss of Rs 3.42 crore following which the cyber police registered a case.
According to the police, the sophisticated scheme is believed to have been masterminded by a gang of ten individuals who deceived the doctor into believing that he could attain immense wealth, just like the others he encountered within the fraudulent organization.
