Indian medical student in UK behind hoax threat calls to Salman Khan
An Indian student pursuing medical education in the UK has been issued a lookout circular (LOC) by the Mumbai Police over charges of sending death threats to movie star Salman Khan.
The police have initiated the process to bring the student back to India as he has been identified as the sender of the email, the official said on Tuesday.

Frisking horror yet again: Female NEET candidates asked to remove undergarments, swap clothing
In a shocking incident reported from Chennai's Mylapore area, on Sunday, a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) NEET female aspirant was allegedly forced to remove her bra before being allowed to enter the exam hall which has sparked anger among the aspirants.
Similar incidents also took place at NEET exam centres in Maharashtra and West Bengal where the aspirants were asked to either remove their clothing, wear them inside out, or swap them with their parents.

NEET relaxation beyond limit unacceptable: HC imposes Rs 50 lakh fine on dental colleges, Rs 25 lakh compensation to each student
Holding that relaxation in the NEET percentile beyond the limit prescribed by the state, will adversely impact the high and uniform standards of medical education, the Rajasthan High Court has recently dismissed the plea against the single bench order directing the discharge of the 2016 batch students from the BDS course. The bench herein imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh on the concerned dental colleges and also ordered them to pay Rs 25 lakh each as compensation to the affected students.

Cipla, JB Chemicals dragged to court for alleged infringement of Vifor FCM patent
Cipla Ltd and J B Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals have been embroiled in a court case as Swiss drug firm Vifor International moves Delhi High Court seeking permanent injunction restraining the two drug majors from alleged infringement of the patent of its iron carbohydrate complex drug ferric carboxymaltose (FCM).
Vifor International received the patent for manufacturing of water-soluble iron carbohydrate complex, designated as ferric carboxymaltose or iron carboxymaltose, which is used for the intravenous treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used, on June 25, 2008 with a priority date of October 23, 2002 and the term of the patent expires on October 20, 2023.
