Indian medical student in UK issued LOC by Mumbai Police for sending death threat mail to actor Salman Khan
Mumbai: An Indian student pursuing medical education in the UK has been issued a lookout circular (LOC) by the Mumbai Police over charges of sending death threats to movie star Salman Khan.
The police have initiated the process to bring the student back to India as he has been identified as the sender of the email, the official said on Tuesday.
The investigation revealed the student hails from Haryana. He is in the third year of a medical course. The student is likely to return to India by the end of this year when his academic session ends in the UK, the official said.

Police suspect the student allegedly sent threatening messages to Salman Khan in the name of jailed gangster Goldy Brar in March. Therefore, they have initiated the extradition process by sharing the Mutual Legal Assistance treaty (MLAT) with the UK authorities.
A few days ago, Salman Khan received an e-mail on one of his official IDs which stated that he should meet gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Goldy Brar and sort out their differences once and for all, or be ready to face the consequences.
Following this, the Bollywood actor received Y category security by the Mumbai Police to safeguard his life from any unwanted incidents.
During an appearance on a TV show, Salman discussed about his security which was reported by ET "Security is better than insecurity. Yes, security is there. Now it is not possible to ride a bicycle on the road and go alone anywhere. And more than that, now I have this problem that when I am in traffic, there is so much security, vehicles creating inconvenience to other people. They also give me a look. And my poor fans. There is a serious threat that's why there is security."
The death threats were taken seriously by the Mumbai police after Gangsters Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Garg were arrested for allegedly sending threatening emails to actor Salman Khan’s office.
A case has been registered under IPC section 506(2), 120(b), and 34 at Bandra police station in connection to the threatening letter.
