Maharashtra: Doctor booked for wrong sonography report after pregnant woman's death
A doctor running a sonography center in the area has now been booked under IPC 304A (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) after the death of a patient whose sonography was done by the concerned doctor. It has been alleged that the doctor gave her an incorrect sonography report about her pregnancy, based on which she ate Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) pills that unfortunately led to her death.
A case has been registered against a doctor who runs a sonography center in Kalyan town of Maharashtra for allegedly giving a false sonography report of a pregnant woman leading to her death.

No medical negligence during cataract surgery: NCDRC exonerates ophthalmologist, Eye Hospital
Setting aside the orders of both the District Forum and the State Commission, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) recently exonerated a Delhi-based ophthalmologist and an Eye Centre from charges of medical negligence during cataract surgery.
It had been alleged by the complainant that she had developed post cataract Endophthalmitis due to alleged negligence during cataract surgery.
However, after perusing the medical record and the expert opinion Dr. R.P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi, the top consumer court exonerated both the doctor and the hospital and noted, "Both the for a didn't consider the medical grounds and the evidence, erred to hold Petitioner liable for medical negligence. In our view, it is a material irregularity apparent on record."

Different retirement age for ayurvedic and allopathic doctors unconstitutional: Rajasthan HC
Providing relief to three Ayurvedic doctors, the Rajasthan High Court recently stated that setting different retirement age for Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors is discriminatory and unconstitutional.
Such an observation came from the HC bench comprising of Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice Vinod Kumar Bharwani while it was considering a plea challenging a notification issued by the Rajasthan Government which had enhanced the retirement age from 60 to 62 years only for the Allopathic doctors and excluded those practicing Ayurveda.

84 Percent higher risk of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years with MRNA vaccine: Analysis sparks fear against Pfizer, Moderna vaccine
Creating a scare among the patients world-wide taking the mRNA-based COVID vaccine, a recent advisory has been released by the Florida Department of Health in the US recommending against the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines for males ages 18-39 years old
This came after a recent analysis done by the Florida Department of Health (Department) revealed that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination, whereas non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks among any population.
