Why can't medical college reports be made public? Transparency woes plague NMC
While the apex medical regulator, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has been denying recognition to several medical colleges across the country due to inadequate infrastructure, the controversy regarding the medical college assessment reports and the demands to make them public have escalated further.
With media reports suggesting that around 40 medical colleges have lost their recognition and several more might face the same fate in the coming time, the question that bothers aspirants and medical students is which one and why.

50 new medical colleges approved across country this year, none in Kerala
While the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) recently announced that 50 new medical colleges have been added in the country, none of these medical colleges have been added in the State of Kerala.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a major boost to undergraduate medical education in India, altogether 50 new medical colleges have been approved this year with an intake capacity of 8,195 MBBS seats.

Monitor endometrioma size of clinical trial participants: CDSCO panel tells Abbott India on Dydrogesterone
Suggesting monitoring the size of the endometrioma of participating subjects during the clinical trial, the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) functional under the Central Drug Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has granted approval to the drug major Abbott India to conduct the Phase III clinical trial and bioequivalence (BE) study of Dydrogesterone Sustained Release Tablets 20mg, an orally active progestogen that acts directly on the uterus, producing a complete secretory endometrium in an estrogen-primed uterus.
