Topper of NEET 2017 and MAMC trainee doctor dies by suicide in Delhi, no note discovered
In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old postgraduate student from the Radio-diagnosis Department of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in Central Delhi was found dead in his room.

According to recent media reports, since no suicide note was found at the scene, the exact circumstances and motivations behind the death is unclear. However, Police have informed that there were no signs of foul play yet.

AFMS 2024 bond policy: 7 years commission service, Rs 67 lakh penalty for MBBS candidates
MBBS aspirants getting admitted to the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune this year will have to compulsorily serve as Medical Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) after completing their course. As per the service liability bond agreement, which is mandatory to be submitted by the interested candidates at the time of admission, the candidates will be liable to pay a bond amount of Rs 67 lakhs if they leave the college after seven days of admission and do not fulfil the compulsory service requirements.
There has been an increase of Rs 2 lakh in the bond money set by AFMC. Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that last year MBBS aspirants were required to pay a bond fee of Rs 65 lakh and the year before that the bond amount was Rs 61 lakh.

Prohibitory orders around RG Kar hospital extended until September 30

In the latest update, prohibitory orders around the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in north Kolkata have been extended till September 30, an officer said.

The orders, which were first imposed on August 18, restrict gatherings of more than five people in the designated area. The restrictions were imposed amid protests over the rape and murder of the doctor at the hospital.

Two MBBS students drown in reservoir in Panna District, MP

In a tragic incident, two MBBS students of Indore's MGM Medical College drowned in a reservoir recently in Madhya Pradesh's Panna district.

Speaking to PTI, an official informed that the incident took place on Sunday evening. "The incident occurred at Dhawari dam near Ajaygarh town, some 40 km from the district headquarters. *** Gupta (20), a resident of Ajaygarh, and *** Prajapati (19) from Umaria, both MBBS students of Indore's Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College, drowned."

Doctor beaten and threatened at private hospital in Gujarat, three arrested

In an alleged case of violence against a medical professional at a private hospital in Gujarat's Bhavnagar, a doctor was allegedly beaten by attendants of a patient following a dispute over a request to remove their footwear before entering the emergency room.

The police arrested the three suspects involved in the attack at Shreya Hospital in Sihor town on Saturday, according to an official.

CBI arrests Sandip Ghosh and Kolkata cop in RG Kar doctor’s rape-murder case

In a recent development, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh and Tala Police Station officer-in-charge, Abhijit Mondal, were produced in Sealdah Court on Sunday in connection with the rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor in August.
According to an ANI report, both Ghosh and Mondal were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday in connection with the rape and murder of a woman doctor in Kolkata.
