Ward boy arrested for alleged sexual harassment of woman at Kolkata Hospital
In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old woman was allegedly molested and photographed by a ward boy on the premises of a state-run Institute of Child Health (ICH) in Kolkata. The incident comes amid heightened national outrage over the recent rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor in Kolkata.
Following the woman's complaint, it has been reported that the alleged incident occurred while she was sleeping in the children's ward of Kolkata's Institute of Child Health (ICH). At the time, she was resting alongside her son, who was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

BHU resident doctor threatened: Doctors' Association demand justice
A female resident doctor at the trauma centre of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) BHU was allegedly abused and threatened by attendants of a patient who claimed to be associated with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office. In response, the Resident Doctors' Welfare Society at IMS BHU submitted a letter to the concerned authorities, demanding justice for the doctor.
The incident took place on September 14 at around 4 PM when the attendant of a patient arrived at the triage and claimed to be from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office. The attendant insisted that the female resident contact the Head of the Department (HOD), but the doctor declined, citing the absence of official orders. The situation escalated when the attendants demanded to speak directly with CMO office officials, which the resident once again refused, adhering to hospital protocol.

Senior Doctors at RG Kar Allege Evidence Tampering in Medic's Rape-Murder Case
Senior doctors of RG Kar Medical College on Monday alleged tampering of evidence in the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case. Addressing a press conference here, they reiterated their demand for a live streaming of the meeting between them and the West Bengal government.
"We condemn all such heinous crimes. This crime is a fallout of the nexus between West Bengal government and health department officials," said one of the doctors. The doctors alleged there was "tampering of evidence". The West Bengal government on Monday "for the fifth and the final time" invited the protesting junior doctors for talks to end the RG Kar impasse, two days after the dialogue failed to take off over disagreement on live-streaming of the meeting.
Mamata Banerjee caves to doctors' demands, removes Kolkata top cop
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the removal of Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal after a six-hour meeting with doctors protesting the rape and death of a trainee doctor. The Deputy Commissioner of Kolkata Police (North), accused of bribery by the victim’s family, will also be dismissed.
Banerjee confirmed that the government has agreed to all four demands from the protesting doctors, including a CBI probe into the rape-murder, which is already in progress. While the removal of the Kolkata police commissioner was welcomed, doctors said their protests would persist until all promises are fulfilled, including their call for the Health Secretary's removal.
