AIIMS Delhi invites online applications for PhD program July 2022
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Delhi) invites online applications for entrance examination through the online (CBT) mode for admission in PhD Program July 2022 session.
The online application window has opened today i.e. 20th July 2022 and continue till 3rd August 2022, 5:00 pm. The entrance exam is scheduled for 27th August 2022. The duration of the exam is from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. The entrance exam (MCQs) will be a computer-based/hard copy test.

Female NEET candidates asked to remove undergarments while frisking, Human Rights Commission seeks Report
In a shocking incident, a National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) exam centre in Kerala is being severely criticized for asking the female students to remove their innerwear before entering the exam hall.
As per various media reports, an exam centre near Ayoor in Kollam, Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology, made around 90 female students to take off their underwear while frisking before entering the exam hall

Monkeypox on track to hit 1 lakh cases globally by August: US expert
As per an earlier forecast, US epidemiologist and health economist Eric Feigl-Ding warned that monkeypox is not showing signs of slowing down and is on track to hit 100,000 cases by August.
About 60 countries have to date reportedly confirmed more than 11,500 cases of the viral disease.
NMC invites applications for starting new medical colleges, intake increase or renewal of MBBS seats
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited applications from concerned authorities and various stakeholders across the country seeking permission to establish a new medical college or increase intake or renewal of recognition of their respective MBBS seats for the academic year 2023-24.
The notification to this effect issued under the authority of Dr BN Gangadhar, President and Dr G Suryanarayana Raju, Member of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board, calls for the applications for the Undergraduate MBBS courses and starting of New Medical Colleges/increase of seats and renewal of courses pending for recognitions for the academic year 2023-24

IMA urges Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to grant GST exemption for Healthcare Services
Days after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman decided to impose 5 % GST on hospital room rent exceeding Rs 5,000 per day per patient, the Indian Medical Association has requested Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to withdraw the imposition of GST on healthcare services, saying the step will raise the cost of running hospitals and clinics in the country
Citing in a letter, IMA mentioned that the 47th GST Council meeting has recommended that "Like CTEPs, common bio-medical waste treatment facilities for treatment or disposal of biomedical waste shall be taxed at 12 per cent so as to allow them ITC."
