Over 10,000 MBBS aspirants write to NTA demanding postponement of NEET
Pointing out that the counselling for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2021 is yet to be completed, more than 10,000 aspirants of NEET UG 2022 have recently written to the National Testing Agency (NTA) requesting to postpone the exam and allocate them with enough time for preparation.
Apart from this the aspirants have also pointed out how the date for NEET on July 17 is almost clashing with the dates for CUET & JEE Mains.

AIIMS hikes price for private ward, abolishes user charges for investigations
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has announced a hike in the room rent and diet charge for private wards and the abolition of user charges for all investigations and laboratory charges.
The charges for its A-category room in private wards have been doubled from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 per day, whereas B-category rooms rise from Rs 2,000 per day to Rs 3,000 from June 1. The room rent for both categories is inclusive of admission charges.

Karnataka to get 538 bedded AIIMS: Union Health Minister
In a move that will greatly boost Karnataka's Health and Medical Education sector, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya gave a green signal for establishing an All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Karnataka.
The assurance was given during a meeting between Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar and Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Monkey pox spreading through "Possible sexual transmission"
Dozens of suspected or confirmed cases of monkeypox have been detected by the Health authorities in North America and Europe since early May, which may be spreading through sexual transmission. The recent cases in UK were predominantly among men who identified themselves as gay or bisexual .
The World Health Organisation (WHO) earlier this week said that it was coordinating with UK and European health officials over the new outbreaks and said we are seeing transmission among men who are having sex with men.
