NEET 2024: NTA to release reduced syllabus soon
Based on the inputs given by the National Medical Commission (NMC) regarding the NEET UG 2024 syllabus, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon going to notify a rationalised syllabus for the entrance test.
As per NTA, the new lighter syllabus will be based on NMC inputs and after consulting with various Boards which rationalised their senior secondary syllabus during the COVID-19 pandemic, adds TOI.

Centre gets 8 weeks ultimatum from Delhi HC to frame policy on online sale of medicines
The Delhi High Court Thursday granted eight weeks to the Centre as a last opportunity to frame a policy on online sale of medicines, saying the issue has been lingering on for long and the government must expedite the process.
The court said if the policy is not framed within the stipulated time period, the joint secretary concerned dealing with the issue shall be personally present before the court on March 4, 2024, the next date of hearing.

No inspection beyond day 1, randomisation software to decide which assessor will inspect which medical college
With an aim to reduce human intervention, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has decided that a 'Robust Randomization Software' will choose the persons who will assess the medical colleges.
This has been specified by the NMC Board in the newly released guidelines for the assessment and rating of medical colleges. These guidelines will be implemented next year i.e. the academic year 2024-2025.
