Attention medical colleges! NMC issues SOP for evaluating examination process as a part of inspection for recognition
Through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for evaluating the examination process as a part of inspection for recognition and recognition.
In its notice, the apex medical regulator mentioned that its Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has decided to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be implemented with immediate effect for the purpose of evaluating the examination process as a part of inspection for recognition/recognition against increased intake/renewal of recognition of course of a qualification.

Patient dies allegedly due to sepsis after dental surgery: UP dentist booked under IPC 304A
A dentist and his compounder in Uttar Pardesh's Barabanki have been booked for the death due to negligence of a man who went to them for the treatment of a simple toothache.
According to police, one Ram Kuber Singh, 52, had visited dentist A.K. Verma on October 23.
Dr Verma carried out a surgery on Ram Kuber’s tooth which allegedly led to sepsis. Ram Kuber initially ignored the symptoms, but when on November 15 he developed swelling on his face, he visited another physician who got the tests done and found that the sepsis had spread to his body.

Doctor on Delhi-Toronto flight deals with medical emergency
A recent incident on an Air India flight from Delhi to Toronto involved Dr. Sundar Sankaran, a doctor from Bengaluru, who was called upon to assist a middle-aged woman experiencing seizures and disorientation before takeoff. Dr. Sankaran, along with a radiologist from Toronto, Satheesh Krishna, attended to the woman, and with the assistance of doctors from Medanta Hospital, successfully offloaded her from the flight. The Air India staff received praise for their cooperation and professionalism during the incident.
