NEET PG 2024 preponed: upset aspirants take to social media
The aspirants of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 examination are upset with the National Medical Commission's (NMC) decision to prepone the exam date from 7th July to 23rd June. Taking to social media platforms, the aspirants have started questioning the logic behind such a decision taken by the authorities, while some of the users and experts have expressed their concern about the impact of preponement on the students preparing for the exam.
The schedule for NEET PG 2024 has been changed a couple of times since last year. Earlier, releasing the tentative schedule of exams, NBE had last year announced that the NEET PG 2024 will tentatively be conducted on 3rd March 2024. Thereafter, media reports started speculating that the exam would be held in the first week of July.
Homeopath poses as gynaecologist, prescribes allopathic medicines
Holding medical negligence, the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SCDRC), Lucknow recently directed a city-based private nursing home and a homeopathy practitioner to pay Rs 30 lakh as compensation to a man whose pregnant wife died while giving birth to a child at the facility.
While considering the complaint by the man, the State consumer court noted that the concerned Homeopath had misrepresented herself claiming to be a Gynaecologist and prescribed allopathic medicine.
'Will send you to jail': HC warns Delhi health minister, secretary on failure to bring new health law
In a stern admonition, the Delhi High Court cautioned the Delhi health minister and health secretary, warning them of potential imprisonment for failing to adhere to judicial directives regarding the enactment of a law to regulate clinical establishments.
During the proceedings on Thursday, Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and Health Secretary SB Deepak Kumar were reprimanded by the court, emphasizing that as public servants, they cannot harbor "large egos."
