NMC puts its controversial Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023 on hold
Soon after the reports of the Union Health Ministry asking the National Medical Commission (NMC) to modify the National Medical Commission Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023, the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the Commission has put the regulations on hold.
Issuing a gazette notification on August 23, 2023, the NMC Ethics Board has clarified that the NMC RMP 2023 regulations will not be operative and effective till further Gazette Notification issued by NMC.

2110 PG medicos not receiving stipend: NMC issues stern warning to private medical colleges
The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has warned private medical colleges to pay stipends to postgraduate medical students in compliance with Regulation 13 of the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000.
Further, the Apex medical education regulatory body has also issued a warning to the private medical colleges stating that it will take action against such institutes for non-compliance with the provisions of the PGMER 2000 Regulations, if any complaint is received in future.

NMC To Streamline Process Of Granting Temporary Registration To Foreign Medical Practitioners, Asks Institutes To Upload Details Of Fellowship Programmes
With an aim to streamline the process of timely grant of temporary registration to Foreign Medical practitioners, the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked the hospital or medical institutes to upload the details of Fellowship Programs run by them on their official website.
The institutes have been asked to upload the details along with the information related to course content, duration, training facilities, teaching, faculty details (along with active registration No), infrastructure facilities etc.
