UP horror: Blood-soaked body of 24-year-old MBBS student found in Kanpur's Rama Medical College basement
In a spine-chilling incident, a second-year MBBS student was found dead with severe head injuries on Sunday in the old boys' hostel of Rama medical college in Bithoor.
According to the police, the student's body was found in the basement of the hostel, covered in blood after his birthday party. Multiple injuries were observed on his body, causing the police authorities to suspect murder.

China's pneumonia outbreak: India issues advisory amid growing cases
The Union Health Ministry, taking note of the surge in respiratory illness in children in northern China in the recent weeks, has decided to review the preparedness measures against respiratory illnesses, as a matter of abundant caution.
In a letter by Union Health Secretary to States and UTs, they have been advised to immediately review public health and hospital preparedness measures viz. availability of HR, hospital beds, drugs & vaccines for influenza, medical oxygen, antibiotics, personal protective equipment, testing kits and reagents, functionality of oxygen plants and ventilators, infection control practices in health facilities, at a senior level.

Violence against Kerala doctors: Study highlights alarming trends
Almost 90% of doctors working in Kerala have experienced some kind of violence in workplace, according to a recent study performed by Kunnath. et al has reported.
The growing acts of violence are making doctors contemplate moving abroad, the recent result of a cross-sectional study on doctors has revealed.
The cross-sectional study results have been published in the journal Cureus.
The rising tide of aggression towards medical professionals is a worldwide issue that is starkly apparent in India as well. The southern state of Kerala is no exception to this and has seen a significant rise in violent acts against doctors in recent times.
