MCC releases NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule, Check dates
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally announced the tentative schedule for the NEET PG online counselling for the academic year 2025 and seat allotment process for 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ), 100 percent Deemed/Central Universities, and AFMS institutions.
The counselling will be conducted in four rounds, i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Online Stray Vacancy Round, starting from October 17, 2025, and continuing until January 15, 2026.

Plea in Supreme Court seeks equal stipend for Rajasthan FMGs and Indian medicos
A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court of India seeking directions to the government authorities in Rajasthan to provide a stipend to foreign medical graduates in the state at a rate equal to that of Indian Medical Graduates.
It has been claimed in the plea that FMG interns in Rajasthan are not receiving any stipend during their internship and Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs) are being paid a stipend of Rs 21,700 per month at various Government medical colleges of the State.

Supreme Court warns NMC over delayed MBBS intern stipends, sets deadline
While considering the batch of pleas that were listed before the Apex Court today, concerning the non-payment of stipend to the Indian and Foreign Medical Graduates undergoing MBBS internship, the Supreme Court slammed the National Medical Commission (NMC). The bench noted that the NMC failed to comply with its own directive issued in July this year requiring all medical colleges to mandatorily disclose stipend details.
With this, the bench granted two weeks to the National Medical Commission (NMC) to file a compliance affidavit in this regard.

NMC directs medical colleges to join mental health surveys under Supreme Court National Task force
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the launch of the official website of the National Task Force (NTF), established under the direction of the Supreme Court of India, to address mental health concerns and suicide prevention among students in educational institutions.
The Supreme Court, through its order dated March 24, 2025, constituted the task force under the Ministry of Education to examine the causes of student distress, discuss preventive strategies, and recommend measures to promote emotional well-being in campuses across the country.
