NEET PG 2023, NEET MDS 2023: MBBS, BDS internship deadline extended, details
Bringing massive respite to NEET PG 2023 and NEET MDS 2023 aspirants, the Health Ministry has extended the last date of completion of the MBBS internship to August 11 and BDS internship to June 30.
The ministry said that the decision was taken considering the future of over 13,000 MBBS students who were not eligible for the NEET PG 2023 exam due to the delayed internship.
More than 3,000 BDS students and 13,000 MBBS students in five States/UTs were ineligible for NEET PG and NEET MDS 2023.

NEET MDS registration window to reopen
NEET MDS registration window is being re-opened. The candidates can now apply from 10.2.2023 (3 PM onwards) to 12.2.2023 (till 11:55 PM). The applications can be submitted at the NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced this through a written notice.
As per the notice, the desirous candidates completing their internship from 1.07.2023 to 11.8.2023 and fulfilling all other criteria as prescribed in the Information Bulletin of NEET-PG 2023 can apply.

NEET MDS Registration Window To Reopen
NEET SS cutoff reduced from 50 to 20 percentile
In a major overhaul, the eligibility criteria for NEET SS 2022 admissions has been reduced from 50 percentile to 20 percentile. This move comes in the backdrop of over 1000 super speciality seats being vacant after the completion of the two counselling rounds.
"The Union health ministry in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) has decided to reduce the eligibility criterion for NEET Super Speciality courses from 50 percentile to 20 percentile," officials familiar with the development informed the Press Trust of India.

Doctors denied protection: Govt says no to bringing uniform law for violence against doctors
Reiterating its previous stand, the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has informed the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday about the Central Government's decision of not enacting separate legislation to prohibit violence against doctors and other healthcare professionals.
In a written reply, the Union Health Minister informed the Parliament that a Draft “The Healthcare Services Personnel and Clinical Establishments (Prohibition of Violence and Damage to Property) Bill, 2019” was prepared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and circulated for consultations.
