NEET UG 2026: 112 NRI MBBS Seats Vacant in Andhra Pradesh, NMC to Review Deadline Extension - Video
|
Overview
Taking cognisance of the vacant MBBS seats under the NRI quota in Andhra Pradesh, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has revealed that it will examine the State Government's request to extend the deadline for MBBS admissions for the academic year 2026-2027 and reduce the NEET qualifying percentile, Deccan Chronicle has reported.
NMC's decision comes after Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), acting on the State Government's directions, sought a further 15 days of time to complete the admission process and fill up the vacant 112 MBBS seats under the NRI quota, which remain unfilled even after the stray vacancy round of NEET UG counselling.
