New Delhi: Citizens network assures blood availability for patients
New Delhi: After several cases of dengue fever were reported in the national capital last month, LocalCircles, a citizens engagement platform, said that those who need blood can obtain it through their website.
"As the disease season arrives in Delhi/NCR, LocalCircles has decided to make this voluntary network available to all," it said in a release.
It also said that the citizens other than existing LocalCircles members or any citizen of Delhi/NCR or anyone visiting here for treatment can now visit its website localcircle.com and seek assistance for blood.
The release added that it is the largest blood donors' network of the national capital with over 110,000 committed donors available to help whoever needs blood within a few hours.
"It has donated blood for over 3,000 emergency needs since its inception and assisted in many life-saving cases," the release said.
Sachin Taparia, Chairman of LocalCircles said, that it is a network where citizens with no association help each other and mobilise themselves for someone in need of blood.
