Medical Dialogues had recently reported that the State Health Minister Ma Subramanian announced last Friday that this fees for obtaining NOC has been slashed by 90 per cent. So instead of paying Rs 3.54 lakh, now the FMGs need to pay only Rs 29,400 for obtaining a NOC.
The medical graduates from abroad must undergo compulsory rotatory residential internship (CRRI) training after clearing the national level exam i.e. FMGE, if they wish to practice in India. Generally, the students opt for pursuing their medical degrees abroad because of the cheaper cost of education there.
