3 years service, Rs 50 lakh penalty for Clinical courses- Here is Bond policy for PG medical admissions in Tripura
Agartala: Doctors taking PG medical admissions in the state will have to execute a bond of Rs 35 lakh for pre and paraclinical, Rs 50 lakh for clinical, and Rs 15 lakh for PG Diploma respectively at the time of their admission. They will be liable to pay the bond amount if they fail to serve the State for 3 years (applicable for PG Degree courses) or 2 years (applicable for PG Diploma Courses).
Apart from this, PG Pre-Clinical & para-clinical, PG Degree, and PG Diploma students will also be liable to pay a seat-leaving bond penalty of Rs 25 lakh, Rs 35 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh respectively if he/she discontinues his/her PG medical course.
These conditions are applicable from the 2020 academic session and were issued by the Government through a notification dated 13.12.2019. Releasing the Information Bulletin of Round-1 of Tripura State NEET PG 2024 Counselling, the State Directorate of Medical Education reiterated the following conditions:
PG Service Bond:
(1) All eligible Non Sponsored and State domicile candidates availing the State Quota seat shall have to execute a Service Bond in favour of the State Government stating that he/she shall serve under Govt. of Tripura for a period of 03 (three) years immediately after successful completion of PG Degree Courses & 02 (two) years immediately after successful completion of PG Diploma Courses.
(2) In the event of failure to serve the stipulated period under Govt. of Tripura as per Bond, he/she has to pay an amount of Rs. 35.00(Rupees thirty five) lakhs only for Post Graduate Pre & Para Clinical Subjects Courses (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Community Medicine etc.) and Rs. 50.00 (fifty lakhs) only for Clinical Subjects Courses (General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Obsterics & Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Respiratory Medicine, Radio Diagnosis, Dermatology, Radiotherapy etc.) and Rs.15(fifteen) lakhs for PG Diploma Courses to the Government of Tripura.
Service Bond for Domicile/Sponsored Candidates:
The State specified that all Domicile/Sponsored Candidates shall have to execute a Bond as per earlier Notification No.F.11(31)-DME/UG/BOND/2016 dated 6th September, 2016. Bond conditions mentioned in the 2016 notification are as follows:
√ All State candidates (domicile and sponsored) of Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses shall have to execute a Bond in favour of the State Government stating that he/she shall serve under Government of Tripura for a period of at least 5 (five) years immediately after successful completion of the course.
√ In case such candidates fail to serve under Government of Tripura as per Bond, he/she has to pay an amount of Rs.20,00,000.00(Rupees twenty lac) instead of existing amount of Rs.5,00,000.00 ( Rupees Five lac) for Under Graduate course and Rs,35.00,000.00(Rupees Thirty five lac) instead of existing amount of Rs. 25,00.000.00 (Rupees twenty five lac) for Post Graduate in Pre & Para-clinical subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Community Medicine) and Rs.50,00,000.00(Rupees Fifty lac ) instead of existing amount of Rs. 35,00,000.00 (Rupees thirty five lacs) in Clinical subjects (Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Obstetrics. & Gyanecology, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, TB & Respiratory Diseases, Radio-diagnosis , Dermatology and Radiotherapy) to the Government of Tripura.
No Bond for AIQ Candidates of PG Degree/Diploma Courses:
As per the Information Bulletin, no Bond is applicable to All India Candidates for 50 % AIQ Seats of PG Degree/Diploma Courses who could be studying in Institutions of Tripura and who does not opt for Stipend/Salary from Govt. of Tripura. All India Candidates for 50 % AIQ seats of PG Degree/Diploma Courses studying in Institutions of Tripura who opts to take stipend/ salary form Govt. of Tripura during his/her study period in Institutions of Tripura shall have to execute the Service Bond.
PG/Diploma Discontinuation Bond:
PG Discontinuation Bond will be applicable for all the PG Candidates. As per the State notification, a candidate will have to execute a bond stating that he/she will pay an amount of Rs. 25.00 lakhs in Pre-Clinical & Para Clinical PG Degree Courses and Rs. 35.00 lakhs in Clinical PG Degree Subjects Courses and Rs. 10.00 lakhs for all PG Diploma Courses to the Govt. of Tripura/Concerned Institution if he/she discontinues his/her PG Course.
The seat-leaving bond for PG medical students was earlier Rs 20 lakh. In this regard, the State Health Department's notification dated 06.09.2016 stated, "All Under Graduate and Post Graduate Students (domicile, sponsored and Central Government nominee) should execute a Bond stating that he/she will pay an amount of Rs. 20,00,000.00(Rupees twenty lacs) if he/she discontinues the course before completion."
