5,604 DNB seats available in MCC AIQ NEET PG Counselling 2022, Check out seat matrix
New Delhi: A total number of 5,604 seats are available for DNB aspirants seeking admissions via MCC AIQ NEET PG Counselling 2022.
The confirmation to this effect comes from a recently released Round 1 seat matrix by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on its official website as per which the maximum seats are available in the speciality of DNB General Medicine.
As per the schedule, the round one registrations for the NEET PG 2022 counselling began on September 15th, the choice filling facility will be available till September 25th. Processing of seat allotment will be done from 26th to 27th September and the result will be declared on 28th September. The reporting will be done from 29th September to 4th October.
According to the seat matrix, 696 seats are available in the DNB General Medicine, making this speciality have the highest number of seats this year.
This number is followed by DNB Anaesthesiology with 517 seats and General Surgery with 361 seats.
DNB Candidates who are intending to pursue Paediatrics have 335 seats to compete for, Obstetrics and Gynaecology course has 282 , Orthopaedics has 256 seats, Radio-Diagnosis and Ophthalmology have 222 seats each.
The DNB specialities of Emergency Medicine have 151, Family Medicine has 102, Respiratory Medicine has 81, Radiation Oncology has 73, Pathology has 57, Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery (Direct 6 Years Course) has 45, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) has 56, Neuro Surgery (Direct 6 Years Course) has 31, Psychiatry has 22, Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion has 19 seats.
There are 12 seats in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (Direct 6 Years Course) and 10 in Nuclear Medicine, 7 in Palliative Medicine, 9 in Paediatric Surgery (Direct 6 Years Course), 11 in Microbiology and Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, 5 in Hospital Administration, 4 each in Biochemistry and Community Medicine, 3 each in Physical Med and Rehabilitation, Physiology and Pharmacology, 2 in Forensic Medicine and only 1 in Anatomy.
Meanwhile, DNB Diploma in Anaesthesiology has 388 seats available for candidates, while Obstetrics and Gynaecology have 412, Paediatrics has 363, Family medicine 257, Radio-Diagnosis has 166, Ophthalmology has 193, Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases has 102, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) has 166 seats.
