AIIMS Jammu inks pact with JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Mysuru to advance healthcare, medical education sector
"The signing of this MoU signals a commitment to fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and the pursuit of excellence in medical sciences. Together, AIIMS Jammu and JSS Mysuru are poised to make significant strides in healthcare delivery, medical education, and groundbreaking research, ultimately benefiting patients and the medical community at large," said a spokesperson.
Jammu: Dedicated to a multifaceted approach in the healthcare sector, Jammu AIIMS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSS Mysuru on Monday.
Jammu AIIMS spokesman said that the institution believes in promoting collaboration through staff and student exchanges and facilitating the sharing of knowledge and practical experience in the field of healthcare and medical education with those institutions of highest integrity.
A ground breaking collaboration aimed at advancing healthcare and medical research, the Founder Executive Director and CEO, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta and the Vice Chancellor of prestigious JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research in Mysuru, Prof. (Dr.) Surinder Singh have officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

"This strategic partnership brings together two formidable institutions, uniting their expertise in healthcare, education and research," said the spokesman.
"The signing of this MoU signals a commitment to fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and the pursuit of excellence in medical sciences. Together, AIIMS Jammu and JSS Mysuru are poised to make significant strides in healthcare delivery, medical education, and groundbreaking research, ultimately benefiting patients and the medical community at large," she added.
The spokesman said that this MoU is intended to outline the general framework for collaboration between the Parties, adding, "the initial goal of this collaboration is to establish working relationship and sharing of information, as well as the intent of the Parties to conduct co-operative activities to establish and promote a mutually beneficial relationship."
The collaborative endeavour encompasses the key objectives which include: Cooperation on Academic Programs, Joint Research Endeavours, Promotion of Joint Masters and Doctoral Programs, Staff Exchange and Mutual Visits, Postgraduate Student Training and Development, Student Exchange Programs, Joint Publication Initiatives, Exchange of Information and Exploration of Additional Beneficial Activities both to the students and the Faculty of the Institutions.
The MoU between AIIMS Jammu and JSS, Mysuru, has the potential to significantly enhance the healthcare ecosystem, education, and research capabilities in the Jammu region, ultimately leading to better health and well-being for its residents and contributing to its socio-economic development of the community and people of Jammu and Kashmir, the spokesman said.
She said that the institution commitment reflects a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on quality, accessibility, affordability, innovation, and sustainability and this aligns with the institute's broader goals of demonstrating a commitment to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that not only meets immediate healthcare needs but also considers the long-term well-being of patients, communities, and the environment.
"Many other healthcare institutions are dedicated to provide the best possible care to their patients and contribute positively to the community and the environment," the spokesman added.
