AIIMS Kalyani Releases Curriculum For Various UG, PG, Post Doctoral Courses, details
West Bengal: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Kalyani) has released the Curriculum for various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Postdoctoral courses to be conducted in the institute.
The undergraduate courses include paramedical courses. There are 2 BSc courses and 2 Diploma courses under Paramedical. Meanwhile, postgraduate courses include nursing, medical, and dental courses. There are 2 courses under Nursing, 2 under dental, and 18 under medical. Postdoctoral courses have 6 courses available.
The following are the courses included –
Undergraduate courses (paramedical) –
1. BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology
2. BSc in Operation Theatre Technology
3. Diploma in Dental Hygiene
4. Diploma in Dental Mechanics
Postgraduate courses (Nursing) –
1. MSc in Pediatric Nursing
2. MSc in Psychiatric Nursing
Postgraduate courses (Medical & Dental) -
1. MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
2. MDS Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
3. MD Anatomy

Further, the regulations for BSc courses, MSc nursing, PG courses, and post-doctoral certificate courses have also been released. The detailed regulations are enclosed in the notice below.
BSc Course lasts 3 years with six months (6 months) of compulsory internship. However, a Bachelor's in Optometry shall be of 3 years in the degree course with 1 year of compulsory internship. MSc Nursing has a duration of two academic years. The MD/MS/MDS course duration is 3 completed years including examinations. The Postdoctoral Courses are for 12 months duration.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India established the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani by an Act of Parliament in the year 2018 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). It aims to correct regional imbalances in quality tertiary-level healthcare and to impart the highest quality of medical and nursing training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. AIIMS Kalyani is governed by the AIIMS Act, as AIIMS New Delhi.
