AIIMS MSc Admissions 2023: Round 2 counselling results out

AIIMS MSc Admissions 2023: Round 2 counselling results out

Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the result of 2nd round of online seat allocation for the MSc Courses 2023 Session.

The result has been released rank-wise. To view the result, click on the link below –

The subjects included are –

1. Medical Anatomy

2. Medical Biochemistry/ Clinical Biochemistry/ Biochemistry

3. Medical Physiology/ Physiology

4. Medical Pharmacology/ Pharmacology

The 2nd round of online seat allocation has been done on the basis of choices made (from 11.00 am, 14.07.2023 to 5.00 pm, 18.07.2023) by eligible candidates.

The online seat allocation for the 2nd round was done on the Seat left vacant after the 1st round of online seat allocation. Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per the Result Notification no 98/2023 dated 28.06.2023, the preliminary verification of the validity of the certificates has been done. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category, and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR subject to the cut-off rank of UR merit list.

This list does not include Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates.

Candidates who did not participate in the 1st round of online seat allocation are not eligible for the 2nd round of online seat allocation but can participate in the open round of seat allocation (if any).

For the 2nd round of online seat allocation, the order of seat allocation was based on the merit order used for the 1st round (including institutional preference seats.

If a candidate who had chosen Option 2 after the 1st round of online seat allocation gets a better choice of seat, the released seat is offered to the next (remaining) eligible candidates as per merit order used for the 2nd round of online seat allocation).

For the online open round of seat allocation, the order of seat allocation will be based on the original merit list. The date and details of the online open round of seat allocation will be announced later.

Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted seat in the 2nd round of online seat allocation -

All candidates who have been allotted a Seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation are required to visit the online seat allocation portal and actively exercise the following options by Thursday, the 10th August 2023 upto 5:00 p.m. and report to allotted AIIMS by Thursday, the 10th August 2023 up to 5.00 p.m. with the original documents/Demand Draft as described below.

Option A. ACCEPT allotted Seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty)

Failure to accept the allotted seat will lead to forfeiture of the allotted Seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty). Kindly read the details carefully.

Instruction for each option is as follows -

Option A: If the Option of ACCEPT allotted Seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) is selected, then The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS before 05:00 PM, Thursday, the 10th August 2023 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online seat allocation portal) and report to the allotted Institute for depositing original documents OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1 lakhs only in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when the original certificates are deposited.

If a demand draft is deposited instead of original documents at the time of joining, then the original documents should be submitted within 5 days of taking admission, otherwise, admission will be canceled, and the deposited money will be forfeited. The candidates whose allocated seat in the 2nd round is at the same AIIMS where they have deposited documents/demand draft after the 1st round of seat allocation must also have to follow the above procedure.

The candidates whose allocated seat in the 2nd round is at the different AIIMS where they deposited documents/demand draft after the 1st round of online seat allocation must go to the AIIMS allocated in the 2nd round. Their documents/demand draft will be transferred internally.

A candidate who ACCEPT the allotted seat (Option A) in the 2nd round but DO NOT report to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM, Thursday, the 10th August 2023, to complete the necessary formalities, then the following shall apply.

In case a seat had not been allotted in the 1st round of online seat allocation, the seat allotted in the 2nd round shall be vacated without any further communication. Such candidates shall be eligible for open round only.

In case a seat had been allotted in the 1st round of online seat allocation and the candidate had accepted the seat and wished to participate in the 2nd round (Option -2) and has already submitted a Demand Draft for Rs 1 lakhs only, the deposited amount shall be forfeited, and Seat allocated shall be vacated. Such candidates shall be eligible for the open round.

In case a seat had been allotted in the 1st round of online seat allocation, and the candidate had accepted the seat and wished to participate in the 2nd round (Option 2), and has already submitted original documents, then the same can be collected after payment of Rs 1 lakhs only through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of AIIMS MAIN GRANT where the certificates were deposited. The seat shall be vacated. Such candidates shall be eligible for the open round.

Those candidates who have been allocated a seat in the 2nd round of online seat allocation but do not actively choose Option: A, i.e., accept the offer by 05.00 pm Thursday, 10th August 2023, and complete the necessary formalities by 05.00 pm Thursday, 10th August 2023 such candidates shall be deemed to have declined/refused the offer. The seat shall be declared vacant for the online open round of seat allocation.

Policy regarding the depositing of documents/certificates/DD -

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of the documents for eligibility as applicable, as well as identity verification of the candidature. If a candidate fails to submit the required certificates (original or photocopies with DD), his/her candidature will be canceled, and the Seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) will be vacated.

List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original/DD (one lakh) along with one set of self-attested photocopies as applicable -

1. Offer Letter

2. Seat allocation letter

3. Final Registration Slip

4. Admit Card issued by AIIMS.

5. 10th passing/ Birth Certificate showing his/her date of birth.

6. Relevant degree of Certificate of the recognized University showing fulfillment of eligibility. Proof of passing the qualifying examination on or before 31st July 2023 with the requisite percentage of marks and subjects failing which their performance at the Entrance Examination will not be considered.

7. Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.

The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable -

SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. The community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within due dates.

OBC Certificate should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only to respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.

The allocated MSc Courses/Subjects of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited, and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under the UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.

The issuing date of the OBC (NCL)/EWS Certificate should be as follows –

Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus. Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted, and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation, and seal of the officer should be legible on the certificate.

The allocated seat of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of the PWBD category will be forfeited, and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under their respective constitutional categories subject to conditions applicable to the respective merit list.
