AP NEET PG Counselling 2023: Round 1 Admissions cancelled over fake NMC permission letters to 2 medical colleges
Andhra Pradesh: Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences has announced the cancellation of phase 1 admission for PG Medical Competent Authority Quota (In-Service & Non-Service) and Management Quota for the academic year 2023-24.
Recently, the Medical Dialogues team reported that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a clarification regarding the fake/forged Letter of Renewal and Letter of Permission issued to Meenakshi Medical College, Kanchipuram, and Santhiram Medical College, Kurnool respectively. These forged letters claimed to be issued on behalf of the Member/President of MARB. In respect of Meenakshi Medical College, Kanchipuram, a fake letter was issued regarding the renewal of permission for the MBBS course for the 4th Batch (3rd renewal) on 01.05.2023. Another three fake letters were issued to Santhiram Medical College, Kurnool, to increase Postgraduate Medical Seats in three specialities, including MS-Ophthalmology, MD General Medicine, and MS ENT.
The YSR University, in its notice, mentioned that NMC, New Delhi, has released a Public Notice duly informing that a Fake/Forged Letter of permission was issued on behalf of Member/President, MARB, NMC, New Delhi. Hence, in view of the above-said notice of NMC, New Delhi, the Phase-I admissions into Competent Authority Quota (Inservice & Non-service) and Management Quota for PG (Medical) courses are cancelled.
In continuation to this Office Notification vide reference 2nd cited, it is hereby notified that the Phase-I admissions into Competent Authority Quota (In-service & Non-service) and Management Quota for PG(Medical) courses for the academic year 2023-24 are herewith stands cancelled. Phase-I Notification for exercising fresh web options along with the revised Seat Matrix will be released by the University shortly, the university said.

Hence, in view of the above said notice of NMC, New Delhi, it is hereby informed that the Phase-I admissions into Competent Authority Quota (Inservice & Non-service) and Management Quota for PG(Medical) courses for the academic year 2023-24 are kept in ABEYANCE until further orders, stated the notice.
