AACCC notifies on Password Policy for BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS candidates
Delhi: Through a written notice, Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) has informed about the password policy for BAMS, BUMS, BHMS and BSMS candidates seeking admissions this year.
Ayush Admissions Central Counselling for admissions in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy Undergraduate courses is a highly sensitive matter. AACCC, in the earlier counseling, has noticed that many candidates have raised complaints about passwords being compromised or someone else registering in place of genuine candidates.
AACCC has notified the candidate that the password is their sole responsibility, and all care must be taken to protect the password. For security reasons after finishing work logout button should be clicked and the windows related to the sessions should be closed.
Password must satisfy the following conditions –
1. Must be 8 to 13 characters long.
2. Must have at least one upper case alphabet.
3. Must have at least one lower case alphabet.
4. Must have at least one numeric value.
5. Must have at least one special character, e.g.,!@#$%^&*-
Candidates should keep changing passwords at certain intervals. AACCC has warned the candidates not to share the password and the mail asking login id or password should not be responded to.
Steps to change the password -
1. A facility to change the password is available to signed-in candidates.
2. Candidates can log in to the system and click on the Change Password button.
3. Then enter the old password, new password, confirm the new password to change the password.
4. If the old password matches and the new password is as per the password policy, the form will be submitted, and the password will be changed successfully.
Steps to be followed for forget password/reset password –
1. Candidates are required to enter NEET-UG Roll No. If the details entered by candidates match with the backend database, then the system will send a verification code through SMS at the registered mobile number. The candidate is required to enter a verification code. If the verification code matches the database, the system will prompt resetting New Password.
2. Candidates are required to enter NEET-UG Roll No. If the details entered by candidates match with the backend database, then the system will send an email at the registered email id. Candidates are required to see their inbox and follow the online instruction for resetting the New Password.
AACCC has further notified that the OTP sent to the candidates for any activity like reset password etc., must not be shared with anyone. This OTP is confidential and to be used by the candidates only. Neither AACCC, Ministry of Ayush nor National Informatics Centre (NIC) will be responsible for violation or misuse of the password/OTP.
