BAMS, BUMS, BHMS Admissions: KEA invites online applications, Register now
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has invited online applications from eligible NEET 2020 candidates for admissions to Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy degree courses for the academic year 2020-21.
Karnataka candidates who have already registered and verified their documents with KEA need not apply online once again. Those Karnataka candidates who are qualified in NEET-2020 but not applied or not verified their documents can apply online and attend the document verification if they are interested in AYUSH courses.
Government has issued the seat matrix for Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy degree courses for the academic year 2020-21. College wise, Category Wise and Course wise detailed seat matrix will be hosted on the KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in along with the fee structure. For selection of these AYUSH seats, candidates should have qualified in UGNEET- 2020 and should have Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Interested eligible candidates can register online and participate in this round (registration details are given below).
GOI has reduced the UGNEET-2020 percentile for admission to UG AYUSH courses and the candidates who become eligible due to reduction of UGNEET-2020 percentile can register online if they have not registered with KEA earlier and attend the document verification with all the original documents. (Reduced percentile details are hosted on the KEA Website)
Further, as per GOI, Ministry of AYUSH letter No. L-11011/2/2020-E-P (1) Part-2 dated 10-12-2020, 15% of All India Quota seats in Private Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy College will also be allotted through KEA. These seats are open in nature. UGNEET-2020 eligible candidates can register online.
NOTE:
1. The candidates who have joined Medical or Dental colleges are not eligible to participate.
2. The candidates who have joined the colleges for other Professional courses as per CET-2006 rules are eligible for admission to Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Unani courses, subject to the conditions laid down in Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
Steps:
• The candidates who have already entered UGNEET Roll number and verified their documents need not to register or to verify their documents once again.
• The candidates who have downloaded the verification slip printed with UGNEET-2020 roll number need not download the verification slip once again. Others can download the verification slip if they have completed the documents verification.
• The candidates, who have verified their documents but not given / entered their NEET Roll Number to KEA, should compulsorily enter their NEET roll number to become eligible for admission to AYUSH Courses.
• The eligible candidates who apply online and pay the fees have to attend document verification with all the necessary original documents on the notified dates.
• The candidates who have entered NEET roll number but not verified their documents for any discipline should also attend the document verification with all the necessary original documents on the notified dates.
