CEE Kerala Invites Applications for PG Ayurveda Degree, Diploma Courses 2024-25, details

CEE Kerala Invites Applications for PG Ayurveda Degree, Diploma Courses 2024-25, details

Kerala- The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) is inviting applications for admission to Postgraduate Degree and Diploma Courses in Ayurveda in Government, Aided and Self-Financed Ayurveda Colleges in the State for the academic year 2024-45.

The post-graduate Degree courses are offered at Government Ayurveda Colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Trippunithura and Kannur as well as Aided Ayurveda Colleges in Ollur and Kottakkal and other Self Financing Colleges. The Post Graduate Diploma Courses are available at Government Ayurveda Colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Trippunithura and Kannur, and Aided Ayurveda College in Kottakkal.

As per the notification in this regard, all candidates, including Service Candidates seeking admission to the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma Courses in Ayurveda, can apply online till 23 September 2024, 4.00 PM through the website of the CEE by entering the required AIAPGET 2024 details and then the candidate should remit the required application fee by way of online payment. Candidates should upload the candidates' photo and signature, as well as all necessary certificates and documents, after paying the required application fee.

Meanwhile, Service Candidates, including teachers quota, should submit their applications to the Director, Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Arogyabhavan, MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram, before 5.00 PM on 23 September 2024 by taking a printout of the online application and submitting it along with NOC (No Objection Certificate) and all necessary certificates. Medical Officers (ISM) should submit their applications through their Controlling Officer (The Director, ISM Department) to the Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Arogyabhavan, MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram, before 5.00 PM on 23 September 2024. Service candidates need not send their documents to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

1 Nativity- The applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin. Non-Keralite candidates are also eligible to apply for admission to PG Ayurveda Degree All India Quota seats available in the Self-financing colleges.

2 Age- No upper age limit is specified for admission to the course. In the case of Service Quota candidates, the age limit for Teacher Quota candidates should be 50 as on 31.07.2024 and that of Medical Officer Quota candidates should be 41 as on 31.07.2024. But the upper age limit of Medical Officers Quota (ISM) candidates coming under the National Pension Scheme will be 45 as on 31.07.2024.

3 Qualifying Criteria- All candidates seeking PG (Ay) courses including Service quota in the State of Kerala for the academic year 2024-25 must have qualified for the National Eligibility – Cum Entrance Test for PG (Ay) Courses (AYUSH PGET) conducted by AIIA, New Delhi and should figure in the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The selection of candidates for the seats reserved for the Medical Officer of the Department of I.S.M, the Teacher's Quota and the candidate sponsored by the Lakshadweep Administration will be made on the basis of the rank obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions. The minimum eligibility mark in the entrance test (AIAPGET 2024) should be the 50th percentile in the case of the General/ EWS category and that of the SC/ST/SEBC category shall be the 40th percentile. With respect to the Differently Abled Candidates category, the minimum mark should be at the 45th percentile for the General/ EWS Category and the 40th percentile for the SC/ST/SEBC category.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have passed BAM /Ayurvedacharya /BAMS from the colleges having CCIM recognition and the BAMS Degree of the Universities of Kerala or its equivalent degree recognized by the University of Kerala with 50% of marks for theory and practical separately in each subject. However, the exemption for minimum marks prescribed for admission for MD (Ay)/MS (Ay) is granted to the students who have passed the BAMS/BAM examination before 1995 from the Universities of Kerala without 50% of marks for theory and practical. The cut-off date for completion of an internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in AIAPGET 2024 should be 31.07.2024. The dates indicated by the candidates in regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Internship i.e., starting date and completion date should be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling. Admission will be given only on the production of an Internship Certificate and Registration Certificate from the Medical Council constituted in this regard.

MODE OF SELECTION

The Selection of the candidates should be made from the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, on the basis of the AIAPGET 2024 rank list, subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions.

ONLINE OPTIONS INVITED FOR FIRST PHASE ALLOTMENT

For the 1st Phase allotment to be published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, candidates should register online options along with the submission of online application through the tab "Option Registration" available on the Application Page. The candidate who has submitted the application on or before 23 September 2024, 4.00 PM can register/re-arrange the options by clicking the menu ‘Option Registration’ available in ‘PG Ayurveda-2024-Candidate Portal’ available in the above website and enter their application number and password to access their Home Page. Meanwhile, candidates can register options upto 26 September 2024, 3.00 PM.

Apart from this, Candidates can give options as per their priority of the Course-College combinations from the available options. The candidates allotted to the course should take admission to the college allotted as per the schedule prescribed by the CEE. The candidate who fails to take admission will lose their allotment as well as the claims for further online allotments, if any. No extension of time for reporting to the college will be granted under any circumstances. The candidates are liable to pay the admission fee as prescribed by the University concerned at the time of admission.

Meanwhile, candidates allotted to various colleges should take admission to the colleges and shall remit the fee shown in the Allotment Memo at the college allotted as per the schedule prescribed by the CEE. No extension of time for reporting/joining to the college will be granted under any circumstances.
