Choice Filling Process Begins For BAMS, BHMS Round 8 in Gujarat, details
Gujarat: The choice-filling process for round 8 of BAMS and BHMS courses has begun. The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has released the detailed schedule along with non-reported seats of round 7, cancelled seats, newly added seats, provisional general merit list, not eligible candidates list, newly added in provisional general merit list, and newly added in not eligible candidates list.
The candidates can fill the choice up to 22.11.2023 (12:00 pm). The choices will be displayed up to 22.11.2023 up to 03:00 pm. The choice-filling process is for admission of Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI seats of Ayurved and homoeopathy Undergraduate courses (including 15% AIQ Seats of Ayurvedic and Homeopathy undergraduate courses in Self-Financed institutes) in Government, Grant in Aid and Self-Financed Colleges.
Process for participation –
All the candidates included in the Merit List of ACPUGMEC can participate in the 8th Online round.
If any candidate has not taken part in the previous round in ACPUGMEC after registration, they can also participate in the 8th Round Choice filing.
To participate in the 8th round, the candidates have to log in to the website of DME using their User ID and Password to give ONLINE CONSENT for participation in the eighth online round.
If the candidate who has confirmed the admission (Only BAMS/BHMS Courses) of the previous round and has given consent to participate in the eighth round has been allotted a new different seat, the admission of the previous round will get automatically cancelled.
If candidates take part in the 8th round of ACPUGMEC and their admission does not get upgraded, then their previous admission will be continued.
Candidates who have got admission to MBBS/ BDS courses till round 04 will not be allowed to participate in the 8th round.
The candidate who has participated or not participated in the 8th Round, the admission of the previous round can also be upgraded in the same college by change of admission category (i.e., ST / SC / SEBC / EWS to General category or PwD to non-PwD seat), there is no need to report the help centre for confirmation of admission.
Guidelines for choice filling –
Online allotment of seats is done on the basis of merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.
Choice can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria –
1. Course of choice
2. Institute/Place of choice
3. Government or Self-financed Institute
4. Tuition fees
Candidates are instructed to fill in all the available choices irrespective of the institute’s status (permitted /recognized) so that during the allotment process if any institute gets permission, you can get admission in that seat.
For Online Choice Filling, visit the website of DME.
Click on the “Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy” tab under “Undergraduate Admission”. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
Click on the “Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
Click on “Candidate Registration/Login”. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
Enter USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14-digit PIN, Captcha & Click on the Submit button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
Click on “CHOICE DETAILS”. 3 options will be displayed.
Available Choice: the candidates can see all available choices
Fill Choice: to start choice filling process
Print Filled Choice: after locking choices, the candidates can take the printout of their choice list
Click on “Available Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
CHOICE AVAILABLE: The candidates can see all available choices. They can filter out the choice based on options are as under -
1. Branch: [AYURVEDA / HOMEOPATHY
2. Institute Type: GOV / SFI / GIA
3. Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT (GQ) / MANAGEMENT SEAT (MQ) / NRI SEAT (NQ)
Click on “Fill Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
Filter your choices by Branch, institute, institute type, and seat type.
1. Branch: BAMS, BHMS
2. Institute type: Blue colour – Govt. and Gant-in-aid Institute; Green colour – Self-financed institute
3. Seat type: GQ - Government Seat; MQ: Management Seat; NQ: NRI Seat
4. Institute: Name of particular institute
Add your choices: the candidates can add an unlimited number of choices
The candidates can re-arrange their choices by serial number
The candidates can delete all filled choices and can start choosing new choices again
Click “add” in left side panel ⇒ choice will be shifted to the right-side panel
SAVE CHOICE: To save filled choices
SAVE & EXIT: To save filled choices and exit from the choice filling page
After save and exit the choices page, the candidates can review their choices. Click on “Modify Choices” to modify your choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., they can lock their choices after clicking on “Lock Choices”.
Candidate must take print-out of locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will consider print-out of your locked choices only.
The candidates can Unlock and modify their filled choices after entering 14-digit PIN No. till the time and date decided by ACPUGMEC.
If the candidates fail to lock choices, it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.
Newly added seats –
A total of 60 BAMS seats are newly at Shiddeshwar Hanumanji Ayurved College, At Vaghada, Ta-Dasada, Dist. Surendranagar.
The non-reported seats of round 7, cancelled seats, provisional general merit list, not eligible candidates list, newly added in provisional general merit list, and newly added in not eligible candidates list have also been released. The detailed lists are enclosed in the notice below.
