DME Gujarat Announces Schedule For BAMS, BHMS 7th Round Choice Filing

DME Gujarat Announces Schedule For BAMS, BHMS 7th Round Choice Filing

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has announced the schedule for choice filling for the 7th online round of BAMS BHMS courses. The details related to non-reported seats of round 6, canceled seats, and newly added seats have also been released.

As per the notice, the choice filling can be carried out up to 05/11/2023 (01:00 pm). The choices will be displayed till 05/11/2023 up to 04:00 pm.

Process for participation for 7th online round –

All the candidates included in the merit list of ACPUGMEC can participate in the 7th online round. If any candidate has not taken part in the previous round in ACPUGMEC after registration, can also participate in the 7th round of choice filing.

To participate in the 7th round, the candidates have to log in to the website of DME using their User ID and Password to give online consent for participation in the seventh online round.

If the candidate who has confirmed the admission (Only BAMS/BHMS Courses) of the previous round and has given consent to participate in the seventh round has been allotted a new different seat, the admission of the previous round will get automatically canceled. If a candidate takes part in the 7th round of ACPUGMEC and his/her admission does not get upgraded, then his/her previous admission will be continued.

Candidates who have got admission to MBBS/ BDS courses till round 04 will not be allowed to participate in the 7th round. The candidate who has participated or not participated in the 7th Round, the admission of the previous round can also be upgraded in the same college by change of admission category (i.e., ST / SC / SEBC / EWS to General category or PwD to non-PwD seat), there is no need to report the help center for confirmation of admission.

Guidelines for choice filling –

Online allotment of seats is done on the basis of merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.

Choice can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria –

1. Course of choice

2. Institute/Place of choice

3. Government or Self-financed Institute

4. Tuition fees

Candidates are instructed to fill all the available choices irrespective of the institute’s status (permitted /recognized) so that during the process of allotment, if any institute gets permission, you can get admission in that seat.

The candidates need to visit the DME website.

Click on “Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy” tab under “Undergraduate Admission”. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “Candidate Registration/Login”. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Enter USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14 Digit PIN, Captcha & Click on Submit button. New window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “CHOICE DETAILS”. 3 options will be displayed as below –

1. Available Choice: you can see all available choices

2. Fill Choice: to start your choice-filling process

3. Print-Filled Choice: after locking choices the candidates can take the printout of your choice list

Click on “Available Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

CHOICE AVAILABLE: You can see all available choices. You can filter out the choice based on options as under –

1. Branch: AYURVEDA / HOMEOPATHY

2. Institute Type: GOV / SFI / GIA

3. Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT (GQ) / MANAGEMENT SEAT (MQ) / NRI SEAT (NQ)

Click on “Fill Choice” to start the process for choice filling. New window will appear on the computer screen.

Filter your choices by Branch, institute, institute type, and seat type

1. Branch: BAMS, BHMS

2. Institute type: Blue color – Govt. and Gant-in-aid Institute; Green color – Self-financed institute

3. Seat type: GQ - Government Seat; MQ: Management Seat; NQ: NRI Seat

4. Institute: Name of particular institute

Add your choices: the candidates can add an unlimited number of choices

Candidates can re-arrange their choices by serial number

Candidates can delete all filled choices and can start choosing new choices again

Click “add” in the left side panel ⇒ choice will be shifted to right-side panel

SAVE CHOICE: To save your filled choices

SAVE & EXIT: To save your filled choices and exit from the choice filling page

After saving and exiting the choices page, you can review your choices. Click on “Modify Choices” to modify your choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., you can lock your choices after clicking on “Lock Choices”

Candidate must take print-out of locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will consider print-out of your locked choices only.

Candidates can Unlock and modify your filled choices after entering 14-digit PIN No. till the time and date decided by ACPUGMEC.

If the candidates fail to lock choices, they will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.
