Karnataka: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) recently released the Information Bulletin for PG AYUSH 2025-26 admissions, detailing the eligibility criteria, registration process, document verification, seat allotment schedule, and reservation policies for MD and MS Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Yoga, and Naturopathy courses across Karnataka.

The Information Bulletin outlines the complete counselling and admission procedure for candidates who qualified in the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET 2025) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Medical (PWD) Examination for Persons with Disability.

(at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore) (Reporting at 10.30 am).

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate who fulfils the following criteria will be eligible to appear for the online seat allotment process, namely-

1 He / She is a citizen of India.

2 He / She has studied and passed in the courses leading to the award of a Bachelor's degree in AYUSH, i.e., BAMS / BNYS / BHMS / BUMS, in colleges recognised by the National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine (NCISM) or the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the Government of India and affiliated to any University established by law in India and located in Karnataka State.

3 Candidate must be of Karnataka origin who has studied Bachelor’s degrees in AYUSH, i.e., BAMS / BNYS / BHMS / BUMS, in colleges outside Karnataka recognised by the National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine (NCISM) or the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the Government of India and affiliated to any University established by law in India.

4 He / She has completed ‘Compulsory Rotating Internship’ on or before 31st July 2025 (as per NTA Public Notice - 30 June 2025 to 31 July 2025 by NCISM & from 30 June 2025 to 31 August 2025 by NCH.)

5 A candidate, who is already holding a Post-Graduate degree in any speciality, shall not be eligible to appear for the online seat allotment counselling process for admission to any Post-Graduate MD / MS AYUSH degree Course.

6 A candidate, who is already holding a Post-Graduate Diploma in any speciality, shall be eligible for a post-graduate degree course in the same Speciality & shall not be eligible for any other post-graduate degree or diploma courses.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

The qualifying criteria for AYUSH MD / MS courses shall be as per NCISM/NCH and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India directions, i.e. Indian Medicine Central Council (Post Graduate Ayurveda Education) Amendment Regulation 2018, about Post Graduate Homoeopathy Education Amendment Regulation 2018, about Post Graduate Unani Education Amendment Regulation 2018.

To be eligible for admission to post-graduate courses for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum marks at 50th percentile marks in the AIAPGET 2025. Qualifying criteria for candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile. Candidate with benchmark disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile for the General category and 40th percentile for the scheduled caste, Scheduled tribes and Other Backward Classes.

The candidates who have scored more than or equal to the prescribed minimum score in AIAPGET 2025 are only eligible to register for PG Admissions. Please note that SC / ST / OBC eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC / ST / OBC candidates only.

DOCUMENTS / CERTIFICATES

1 KEA PGAYUSH- 2025 Registration form duly filled (print out) of online fee paid challan copy as proof for having paid the registration fees.

2 Two passport-size colour photographs (photograph uploaded to the AIA PGET examination).

3 Photo Identity Proof (PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhar Card/ Ration Card).

4 Admit card & Score Card issued by NTA, New Delhi.

5 SSLC or 10th Standard Marks Card (For date of birth).

6 2nd PUC or 12th standard Marks Card of the Candidate.

7 Candidates' Study Certificate: A study certificate from the Head of the educational institution where he or she had studied. Further, School Study Certificates should be countersigned by the concerned Block Education Officer (BEO) / Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) COMPULSORILY in the proforma prescribed.

8 BAMS / BNYS / BHMS / BUMS mark cards issued by the Universities of all Phases/years.

9 Qualifying degree certificate. (PDC will be accepted only for candidates who have passed BAMS / BNYS / BHMS / BUMS in 2025).

10 Certificate of internship completion.

11 Registration Certificate obtained from Karnataka Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners' Board or Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine (for State quota only). For All India Quota (Open) / OTHERS quota registration in any State Board/ Council or Central NCISM / NCH registration certificate to be submitted.

12 If claimed “NRI Ward” - Ward Certificate.

13 All the Candidates are also required to submit an UNDERTAKING on Rs. 20 e-Stamps Paper brought out in the name of the Candidate to the Karnataka Examinations Authority. Only on submission of this document, the Candidate’s Document verification process is stated to be completed and he /she becomes eligible for allotment of User ID and Secret Key.

14 All the selected in-service candidates at the time of admission shall furnish a bond in the form no. 19 specified in KCSRs on stamp paper of value of Rs.100/- binding himself to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- as penalty in the event of his/her leaving the course before its completion and also debarred for three years from appearing entrance test.

FORFEITURE OF SEATS SELECTED

Every candidate, including in-service candidates, shall pay a sum of Rs 50,000/- to the Government in case he/she pays off fees during counselling and fails to join the course on the specified date mentioned in the admission order.

Provided that in case of an In-service candidate who takes admission orders during counselling & fails to join the course, the candidate is not eligible to take a management quota seat or any other seat for a period of 3 years and he/she shall be liable for disciplinary action.
