BSc Nursing Seats to be available from Round 2: MCC
Delhi: BSc Nursing seats will not be taken up in round 1, informs Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The details related to the colleges where only female candidates can apply have also been released.
Candidates participating in NEET UG Counselling 2023 should note that the BSc (Nursing) seats could not be taken up by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS in Round-1 of counseling since some of the Nursing colleges could not contribute their seats on the MCC portal for round-1 of counseling. Hence, the BSc (Nursing) seats will be available for Choice Filling from Round -2 of UG counseling conducted by MCC.
Following are ‘FEMALE ONLY’ colleges. Only female candidates are allowed admission to these colleges. Hence, male candidates should not exercise choices for the following colleges –
1. BPS Govt. Medical College, Sonepat
2. SVIMS- Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati
3. Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi
4. Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune
Further, any male candidate who has opted for the above colleges should edit his choices and delete ‘female only’ colleges before locking of choices. ‘Female Only’ colleges will be allotted to female candidates only at the time of Seat Processing.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organization under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allows seats online on the basis of the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility, and the preference list submitted by the candidate.
