494 BDS Seat Vacant After 2nd Walk-In Stray Vacancy Round: BFUHS
Faridkot: 494 seats in BDS course have been left vacant across 10 dental colleges. A 2nd walk-in stray vacancy round counselling was organized by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) to fill up the seat but not a single candidate turn out.
The counselling committee shared that even the candidates will low marks didn't turn up for the counselling process.
The candidates were asked to report on 14th May 2022 at 11:00 am at Senate Hall, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot for the counselling process. 15th May 2022 was the joining date for the selected candidates.

There was a delay of few months in conducting the counselling process due to the current pandemic. Now the committee is under the opinion that due this delay candidates didn't appear from the counselling process. The admission process every year usually gets over by September.
While discussing with The Turbine, the authorities shared that the candidates now wants to appear for MBBS exam for 2022 schedule. The NEET UG exam is schedule for 17th July 2022 for which National testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process.
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established in July 1998 by Punjab Act No. 18. It is named after Baba Farid, a 12th-century Punjabi Sufi headquartered in Faridkot. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad.
