DCI flags 8 dental colleges for not uploading anti-ragging orientation report

New Delhi: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has listed eight dental colleges across India for failing to upload the Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme report for the academic year 2024-25 on the council's Anti-Ragging Online Module.
According to an official list issued by the DCI, the institutions have not yet submitted the required report detailing the conduct of anti-ragging orientation activities meant to sensitise students about ragging prevention and disciplinary measures. The report is required to be uploaded through the DCI Anti-Ragging Online Module, which serves as a monitoring mechanism for ensuring compliance with anti-ragging regulations in dental institutions.
As per the notice, the colleges that have not uploaded the report include Awadh Dental College & Hospital, Jamshedpur (Jharkhand); Aditya Dental College, Beed (Maharashtra); Government Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur (Maharashtra); GSL Dental College & Hospital, Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh); PDM Dental College & Research Institute, Bahadurgarh (Haryana); RKDF Dental College & Research Center, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh); University College of Medical Sciences, Dilshad Garden (Delhi); and U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah (Uttar Pradesh).
The DCI maintained the Anti-Ragging Online Module to ensure that dental colleges conduct awareness programmes at the beginning of every academic session and report the same to the council. These programmes are designed to educate students about the legal consequences of ragging and promote a safe and respectful campus environment.
By publishing the list of non-compliant institutions, the council aims to ensure that colleges adhere to the mandatory reporting requirements and strengthen anti-ragging measures in dental institutions across the country. Colleges are expected to complete the pending upload to maintain compliance with DCI guidelines and reinforce their commitment to student safety and welfare.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the DCI had issued a public circular directing all universities and dental colleges across the country to strictly ensure a minimum of 80 per cent biometric attendance for all postgraduate dental students before permitting them to appear in examinations.
The directive, issued on January 19, 2026, followed a review by the Grievance Sub-Committee of the DCI during its meeting held on November 24, 2025. The committee examined multiple complaints received through emails regarding the non-attendance of PG students in dental colleges located in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
