Delhi: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued guidelines for dental colleges for uploading the details of students admitted in MDS, PG Diploma, and BDS courses for the academic year 2022-23.
DCI has announced the last joining date for All India Quota /Deemed / Central / PG-DNB / MDS / State Quota.
The following is the last joining date –
1. MDS – 25th November 2022
2. BDS – 20th November 2022
Instructions for the dental colleges –
1. The college authorities of all dental colleges are directed to upload the details of students admitted in MDS/PG Diploma/BDS Courses at their dental institution for the academic session 2022-23 on the DCI Website, using their already allotted new login credentials for admissions (https://portal.dciindia.gov.in/login), on or before the last date of joining till midnight.
2. If the college authorities claim any admission after midnight of the last date, then Section 10B of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993 and/or Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948, as the case may be, shall be attracted and it shall be presumed that the college authorities have not admitted MDS/PG Diploma/BDS candidates at their college for the academic session 2022-23.
3. To ensure the smooth uploading of the details of students and to avoid unnecessary delay, undue pressure and technical fault on the network, in uploading the details of the students at the last moment of the cut-off date, every dental institution shall make its efforts to upload the details of students gradually, immediately after the date of joining of a student of each round of counselling,
4. Only the uploaded details of students on the DCI portal shall be forwarded to the State Dental Councils / Tribunals for the addition of MDS/BDS Qualification.
5. Only uploaded details of students on the DCI Website shall be considered, and any detail of students received in any other format, viz. e-mail or hard copy, shall not be considered.
6. No request for an extension of time to upload the above details of students or any other excuse or reason for the technical fault, etc., shall be considered.
It has come to DCI notice that some dental colleges upload the details of students who are not admitted to their college; because of this, the college where the student has been admitted cannot upload the details. Colleges are strictly warned to upload the details of only their college's genuine and bonafide admissions. The onus of furnishing true, correct and authentic information is upon the college concerned, and in case of furnishing any wrong/incorrect information, it shall be open to DCI to initiate action against / penalize the college.
