DME Chhattisgarh announces Joining date for BDS Candidates, Details
Chhattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME) has announced the date of joining of BDS candidates.
The already registered candidates are requested to join the seat allotted till 2nd May 2022. On the same day, the colleges are asked to upload the list of the joined candidates on the Dental Council of India (DCI) website and mail it to DME at cgdme.student@gmail.com.
DME further notified that if any seats remain vacant in BDS, then the candidates who have received the minimum marks in NEET PG 2021 will be considered. The remaining seat admission must be completed at the college level by 15th May 2022 by following the rules of entry 2018 formulated by DME and DCI. On the same day, the colleges are requested to upload the list of the joined candidates on the Dental Council of India (DCI) website and mail it to DME. Admission taken after 15th May 2022 will not be considered.
Candidates need to keep close track of the DME website https://www.cgdme.in/ for the latest updates and notifications.
Eligibility criteria for applying to BDS courses -
1. The candidates should be a citizen of India.
2. The age shouldn't be less than 17 years of age, and also the age of the candidates shouldn't be more than 25 years.
3. Candidates should be qualified in class 12 or equivalent examination from the Chhattisgarh board or any other board recognized by the Chhattisgarh government with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
4. The candidate must secure the minimum required percentile in NEET UG 2021
Directorate of Medical Education Raipur conducts the counselling process of BDS 2021. It conducts counselling for 85% of state quota seats. The counselling is conducted based on the NEET-UG entrance examination. The admission will be offered in the BDS state private and government dental colleges.
