DME Gujarat Begins NEET MDS Round 2 Registrations, 103 Seats Up For Grabs

Gujarat- The Director of Medical Education (DME), Gujarat, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the admission of Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI Seats of the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Course in Government and Self-financed Dental Colleges for the academic year 2025-26.
Therefore, candidates who are qualified in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) (MDS)-2025 and are eligible as per council and admission rules of Gujarat State, can apply and for all the eligible candidates included in the Merit List of ACPPGMEC, for admission of Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI Seats of MDS Course in Government and Self-financed Dental Colleges for the academic year 2025-26.
In this regard, DME Gujarat has issued an advertisement detailing the schedule for the First Round Admission Cancellation and 2nd Round Online Registration and Choice Filling for admission in the First year Post-graduate MDS course for academic year 2025-26. As per the schedule, candidates can cancel their First Round Admission at the Help Centre till 22nd July 2025. Meanwhile, candidates can purchase the online PIN for online registration till 21st July 2025. Below is the detailed schedule-

For Online Registration, a PIN can be purchased online from the official website of DME Gujarat on payment of Rs 3000/- (Non-refundable) + Rs 25,000 (Refundable Security Deposit) =Total Rs 28,000/-. However, it is to be noted that the candidates who have purchased Online PIN by paying Rs 28,000/- in Round 01 and have not done online registration/ documents verification & not submitted photocopies of documents at the Help Centre after completing online registration, need not purchase online PIN again. They only have to do document verification & submit photocopies of documents at the Help Centre only.
For the Document Verification and Submission of photocopies of Documents at the Help Centre, candidates have to take a prior appointment. Candidate, himself/herself, can select the Date, time and Help Centre of his/her choice for Document Verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip.
Meanwhile, after the online application, the NRI candidates have to submit a Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- (Non-refundable) in favor of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar as a processing fee at the office of ACPUGMEC & ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only. The document verification and submission will be done only at the Office of ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, and Gandhinagar.

List of Original Documents to be Uploaded & Verified-
1 Final year attempt-wise BDS marksheets.
2 Copy of the NEET-MDS Marksheet of the current academic year.
3 Internship completion certificate on or before 30/06/2025.
4 Provisional Registration of State Dental Council OR Dental Council of India (In case of fresh candidates only who have just completed their internship)/Permanent Registration of State Dental Council OR Dental Council of India (In case of old pass-out candidates).
5 Document showing Date & Place of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate--compulsory for all candidates & Birth Certificate/ Passport--If birth place not mentioned in School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate).
6 For SEBC, ST and SC Category: Caste certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.
7 For SEBC Category: Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha ‘4’ in Gujarati/English) issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only dated on or after 01/04/2023.
8 For EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) Category: EWS certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only dated on or after 01/04/2023.
9 For PwD Candidates: Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
10 Copy of Passport - if Citizenship is Dual/ Foreign.
11 12th Marksheet (For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat).
12 Domicile certificate of Gujarat state: For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat (only if birthplace is outside Gujarat).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1 The candidate must have completed the recognised BDS course from a university established under any law of the Government of Gujarat and situated in the State of Gujarat.
2 The candidate must have completed the recognized BDS course from university established under any law of Government of India and situated in any State / Union territory of India / Out of India subject to fulfilling the Eligibility criteria of DCI, New Delhi/ Govt. of India and must have passed 12th qualifying examination with “B- group” or “AB-group” either from (a) Gujarat Board OR (b) from Central Board of Secondary Education/ The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination board/ The International School Board (International Baccalaureate and Cambridge)/ The National Institute of Open Schooling provided that school is located in the state of Gujarat and must be born in Gujarat state/ be the Domicile of Gujarat state.
3 The candidate must have completed a compulsory rotating internship on or before the date. 30/06/2025.
Along with this, DME Gujarat has also released the list of vacant seats after reporting of Round 01 (MDS) for 2025-26. As per the list, a total of 103 seats are vacant across 9 MDS Courses. Of these, Conservative Dentistry has the highest number of vacant seats, followed by Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral Pathology, Orthodontics and Oral Medicine and Radiology. Similarly, Public Health Dentistry has the lowest number of vacant seats, followed by Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Paedodontics. Below are the details of vacant seats-
