MCC NEET MDS Counselling 2026 complete schedule OUT! Round 1 registrations from August 18, check key dates here
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET MDS 2026 counselling schedule for the academic year 2026-27.
This process is for 15% and 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 100% Deemed, Central and State Quota and AFMS seats
The schedule has been released on the official website of MCC.
Candidates who have qualified the NEET MDS 2026 as per the final results recently released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) are eligible for the counselling.
STEPS TO REGISTER FOR NEET MDS 2025 COUNSELLING
STEP 1- Visit the official website of MCC.
STEP 2- Click on the link for NEET MDS 2026 counselling registration.
STEP 3- Fill in the required details to complete the registration process.
STEP 4- Pay the non-refundable counselling fee.
STEP 5- Select your preferred colleges and medical courses.
STEP 6- Lock your choices before the deadline.
As per the schedule, the counselling for the students who qualified the MDS entrance test shall commence from today i.e. 17th August for the All India Quota/Deemed/Central Universities seats, whereas the State counselling shall commence on 18th August, 2026. MCC has announced that the academic session for the MDS courses shall commence on 17th September, 2026.
MCC will activate the registration window at its official website. Currently, MCC has released the counselling schedule for three rounds of State and AIQ counselling as well as the schedule for a stray vacancy round.
ROUND I: As per the NEET MDS 2026 Counselling schedule for the AIQ seats, verification of the tentative seat matrix by the participating institutes and NMC will be done on August 17th. Registration and payment for Round I shall commence on August 18th and continue until 23rd August, 2026.
The choice filling and locking by the candidates will be done between 19th August to 23rd August and the processing of seat allotment will be conducted between August 24th and August 25th. Results for Round I of AIQ Counselling shall be published on 26th August and candidates can report/join their seats from 27th August to 1st September, 2026. Institutes will verify the data of the joined candidates on 2nd September 2026.
STATE COUNSELLING ROUND I: Meanwhile, as per the schedule released by MCC, Round I of the State Counselling shall be conducted from 21st August, 2026 to 1 September, 2026. Thereafter, the verification of the joined candidates' data shall be conducted by the States in between 8th September, 2026. Last date of joining for the Round I is 7th September, 2025.
