MDS Admissions at Puducherry's Mahatma Gandhi PG Institute of Dental Sciences: Here are the specialities, seats, fee structure details
Puducherry: Recently, Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry released a notice regarding the admission of first-year students to MDS Courses for academic year 2023-24.
According to the notice, there are 17 seats available in the college among which 8 are reserved for All India Quota which is to be filled by MCC, Delhi and 9 seats for State Quota which is to be filled by CENTAC, Puducherry.
The college college offers courses in various branches. The list is mentioned below:
1. Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge
2. Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology
3. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
4. Oral Medicine and Radiology
5. Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
6. Periodontology
It can be noted that out of 9 seats reserved for state quota one seat is allocated to NRI candidates in the speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for academic year 2023-24. It further mentioned in case of non-availability of NRI candidate, the seat shall be converted to Management Quota and will be filled up during the mop-up round and non-filling of the Self-Sustaining seats will be converted to State Quota for Puducherry Domiciles.
Also, the 8 seats for Puducherry domiciles shall be filled up based on the seat matrix furnished by the Health Secretariat, Puducherry. The seats under EWS shall be filled in the following courses only:
1. Prosthodontics and Crown Bridge.
2. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
3. Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
4. Periodontology
The college fee for Puducherry Domicile and All India Quota Students will be INR 139895 and 159895 respectively, which will include admission fee, tuition fee, library fee, identity card, library deposit, caution deposit, clinical/lab fee and alumni fee.
For NRI candidates the admission fees will be charged USD 44000 and tuition fee INR 243595 annually.
Hostel fees in MGPGIDS are INR 8550 and 7550 for single rooms and double rooms respectively, which will include charges of admission fees, electricity & water charges, room rental charges, caution deposit, establishment charges and student welfare fund.
