NEET MDS 2022: NBE opens Selective Edit Window for candidates to rectify incorrect images
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the Selective Edit Window for NEET-MDS 2022.
Some of the applicants for NEET-MDS 2022 have failed to upload the images (uploaded photograph, photograph captured through webcam, signature and/or thumb impression) in their application forms as per image upload guidelines. They have also failed to rectify such incorrect images despite being given opportunities through final edit window as well as through individual emails sent at their registered email IDs.
"All such candidates are being informed once again through emails to rectify the incorrect images in their application forms. They shall be able to rectify the incorrect images in their application form during a selective edit window starting from 20.04.2022 (10AM onwards) till 22.04.2022 (till 11:55 PM)," stated NBE.
3Such candidates are required to edit the incorrect images in application from through applicant login at NEET-MDS 2022 index page on NBEMS website https://nbe.edu.in
No further opportunity shall be given to the candidates to rectify the incorrect images. Admit cards may not be issued to candidates who fail to rectify the incorrect images in their application form.

Earlier the examination was scheduled to be held on March 6 and the Union Health Ministry, on the request of NEET MDS aspirants seeking similar reliefs as NEET PG, had extended the last date for the completion of the internship to July 31, 2022, instead of previously mandated March 31, 2022.
NBE will conduct the NEET-MDS 2022 on 2nd May 2022 on a Computer Based Platform at various test centres across the country.
NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948 (amended from time to time). It will the gateway for entrance to PG Dental Courses in all government and private medical colleges in the country, except AIIMS. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3 hrs. There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
The exam fee for general General, OBC and EWS category will be Rs. 4250/-, while for SC, ST, PWD will be Rs. 3250/-
A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
Scheme of NEET-MDS 2022
NEET-MDS 2022 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer based examination on 6th March 2022.
Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time.
The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.
The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3 hrs.

Marking Scheme: Allocation of marks for each MCQ shall be as follows:

During the examination candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme mentioned above.
