NEET MDS Counselling: Maha CET Cell Releases Schedule For 2nd, Mop Up rounds

Mumbai: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State ( MAHACET CELL) has released the schedule for the Second Round of NEET-MDS-2021 followed by MOP UP - I Round for admission to postgraduate dental courses (MDS) in the State.

As per the notice, the vacant All India Quota Postgraduate Dental (MDS) seats in Government/ Corporation/ Central Government/ Government Aided Institutes have been surrendered to the State quota on 21/10/2021.

The office has completed the first round of the counseling process. At the end of the first round there are few vacant seats. The schedule to fill vacant seats of Government/ Corporation/Aided/ Private Unaided/ Minority Dental Colleges through Second Round and MOP UP round(s) counseling will be as stated below:

The prescribed cut-off date of Resignation, for the candidates for whom the seat is allotted in the previous round(s) of State Quota. The candidate admitted from All India Quota cannot resign/ cancel a seat allotted in All India Round (s)

The Commissioner and Competent Authority has directed some instructions for the candidates are following:

1. The allotment letter will be considered as an E-Pass/Curfew pass to facilitate candidates along with one parent / Attendant during travel for the purpose of reporting to the allotted college.

2. Selected candidate for the second round, MOP UP-I round should report physically to join allotted college with all original documents and requisite fees to secure admission.

3. In case of upgradation / betterment of candidate who joined during the previous round, the original document and fees paid during admission should be refunded by college authority immediately to account for the concerned candidate.

4. Any candidate who has joined up to 02/11/2021, if desires to cancel /resign their seat at Government/Corporation/Central Government institutions, after 05.00 pm on 02/11/2021 will have to pay a penalty of Rs.10 Lakhs for Noncompletion of Junior Residency/ Course as per rule No. 21.1 in addition to Rs. 10 Lakhs for lapse of seats as per rule No. 21.2 of Information Brochure of NEET-MDS-2021. If such a candidate resigns after 5.00 pm on 02/11/2021, even after paying Rs.20 Lakhs, he/she will not be eligible for admission through state Quota for the subsequent two Academic Years.

5. Any candidate who resigns their seat from Private Unaided/ Minority Colleges after 5.00 PM of 02/11/2021, will have to pay three years' fees as a penalty as per Rule No. 21.6 of NEET-MDS- 2021 Information Brochure.

6. The Schedule for Institutional Round will be declared in due course.
