Tamil Nadu- Tamil Nadu (TN) Health has released a tentative Round 1 counselling schedule for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree courses in Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges, Government and Management Quota seats in Self-Financed Dental Colleges for the 2024-25 session.

As per the tentative schedule, the whole process of Round 1 counselling is starting today i.e., 17th July 2024 at 10:00 AM and will continue till 26th July 2024 at 05:00 PM.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1 Candidates who are participating in the online choice filling for MDS Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota

2 At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit for the Government Quota-

I For Government Dental Colleges– Rs. 30,000/-.

ii For Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental College– Rs. 1,00, 000/-.

3 At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit for the Management Quota-

For Management Quota including Minority/ NRI Category seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges- Rs.2,00, 000/-.

4 All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.

5 Candidates should be careful while choice filling.

6 Candidates will have the option of choice filling for all the seats for which they have applied. For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and Management quota he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyze all the choices available and fill their choices in order of their preference.

7 Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit. Hence candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.

8 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (07-2024 5 PM) their choices will be automatically locked.

9 Seat Matrix for the Course will be available on the official websites.

10 The Selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity errors and Procedural errors.

11 Admission to MDS Degree courses shall be made by the online counselling based on rank by applying the rule of reservation/ 200 points Roster method.

12 Request for a change of course or College, from one to another is not permitted after final locking.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER

1 The Selected candidate has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.

2 Fee structure is available on the TN Health official website.

3 All candidates should make sure, sufficient funds are available in their bank account with an expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.

4 The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Dental College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.

REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE

1 The candidates should produce their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification.

2 If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.

3 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

4 Candidates are advised to be in touch with the TN Health official websites for Schedules / latest updates / Results / Notices / News & Events pertaining to counselling as the Selection Committee will not be individually contacting the candidates for the same.

5 No communication will be directly sent to the Candidates(s). They are advised to be in touch with the website regularly for any updates.

Meanwhile, TN Health has also released a tentative vacancy for MDS Courses for 2024-25 in Government Dental Colleges and self-financing dental colleges in the state. As per the tentative vacancy for MDS Courses for 2024-25, there are a total of 387 seats are vacant. Of these, 34 seats are vacant in Government Dental Colleges and 353 seats are vacant in self-financing dental colleges.
