TN Health To begin NEET Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 Seat Allotment Process For BDS Admissions Tomorrow
Tamil Nadu- The Tamil Nadu (TN) Health is going to begin the seat allotment process for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Degree Course in Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges, Government & Management Quota seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges and Government Quota seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-25.
As per the tentative special stray vacancy round 2 Counselling schedule, the registration, Choice Filling & Locking started on 10 December 2024 at 5 P.M. and ended today i.e. 11 December 2024 at 05:00 P.M. Following this, the Seat Allotment process is going to begin from tomorrow i.e. 12 December 2024.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
The Candidates who are not holding any MBBS/BDS seats in All India Quota and State Quota are only eligible to participate in this online counselling.
NOT ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
1 The candidates who have already joined any MBBS/BDS seats in All India Quota and State Quota (Either Govt. Quota/Management Quota/NRI Quota/NRI Lapsed Quota) are not eligible to participate in this round of counselling.
2 The candidates who did not join their seats allotted through Tamil Nadu State Counselling Round-3 / Stray round /Special Stray round are “Not Eligible” to participate in this counselling.
FEES
1 The candidates should pay an additional Security Deposit amount of Rs.2 Lakhs for the BDS Course for participating in this Special Stray Round II via the online Bank payment portal, which is not refundable, in case the candidate after allotment does not join the course.
2 Candidates who have not previously registered and participated in the online choice filling (But their name should be present in the state Merit list already published) for the BDS Degree Course will have to remit a nonrefundable Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.
3 The candidates who have participated and paid their Registration Fee & additional Security Deposit, but were not allotted any MBBS/BDS seats in previous rounds need not pay again.
However, SC/SCA/ST candidates are Exempted from the Security deposit if their annual Income is less than 2.5 Lakhs and Converts to Christianity from the Scheduled Caste candidates are also Exempted from the Security deposit if their annual Income is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
Meanwhile, allotted candidates during Special Stray vacancy Round II, if they fail to join or discontinue the course, they will have to forfeit the Security Deposit and Tuition Fee in addition to payment of the Discontinuation Fee. They also will not be able to participate in TN UG Medical Counselling for the subsequent one academic year.
CHOICE FILLING
1 Candidates will have the option of choice filling for the categories for which they have applied. For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and management quota he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyse the choices available and fill in their choices in order of their preference.
2 Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit.
3 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date their choices will be automatically locked.
4 Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE
1 The Certificate Verification will be done in the selected colleges itself.
2 The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with a scanned copy of the original certificates for verification.
3 If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
4 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
5 No communication will be directly sent to the Candidates. They are advised to be in touch with the website on a regular basis for any updates.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALLOTTED CANDIDATES
1 If a candidate is allotted in the Stray Vacancy round, he/she will have to join the allotted college.
2 The allotted candidate for a BDS seat in Government Dental Colleges has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
3 Considering the absence of Re-allotment and time constraints in Stray Round, downloading of allotment order by the candidate itself is considered as joining as per the prospectus and the candidate has to report to the institution within the reporting time.
4 Failure to report will be considered as discontinuation and the candidate should pay the Discontinuation fee of Government Quota of Management Quota Prospectus if he/she fails to report before the stipulated time.
5 The Selected candidate (BDS seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges) has to pay the Tuition Fee at the time of admission to the colleges directly.
6 The Selected candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST/ SCC who have been allotted seats in Govt. Quota and Management Quota in self-financing Dental colleges are exempted from paying tuition fees if the annual income of Parents/Guardians is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
7 All candidates should make sure, sufficient funds is available in their bank account with expanded credit/Transaction limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
8 The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Dental College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
IMPORTANT POINTS
1 Seat Matrix for the Course will be available on the official website.
2 The selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity error and Procedural error.
3 Admission to MBBS/BDS Degrees courses shall be made by online counselling on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
4 If seats are vacant in any category after the exhaustion of the merit list (from that specific category), those seats will be converted to the general category.
