DMER Haryana Notifies On NRI Quota For PG Medical Admissions 2021
Haryana: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has informed about the NRI category with respect to the admissions to MD, MS, and MDS Courses in Government/Government Aided/Private Medical and Dental Educational Institutions.
These institutes include those under Private Universities namely SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram, and PDM University Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar for Academic Session 2021-22.
15% seats out of management quota seats in private medical colleges affiliated to Pt. B.D Shanna UHS, Rohtak including those under Private Universities namely SGT University. Budhera, Gurugram, and PDM University Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar shall be reserved under NRI category seats, stated the notice.
The procedure for admission to NRI quota seat shall be as under:-
1. All admission under NRI category seats shall be as per merit of NEET.
2. Only NEET qualified candidates shall be eligible under the NRI category.
3. PlOs OCIs and Foreign Nationals who are NEET qualified can also apply under the NRI category however Foreign Nationals shall be considered only for any vacant seat left after exhausting the list of NRls/PIOs/OCls. The preference for admission under NRlcategory shall be considered as under-
1. | Actual NRIs/OCIs/PIOs candidates who originally belonged to the State of Haryana. |
2. | Children of NRIs/OCIs/PlOs who originally belonged to Haryana State. |
3. | Actual NRIs/OCIs/PlOs who originally belonged to an Indian State and Union Territories other than Haryana. |
4. | Children of NRIs/OCIs/PIOs who originally belonged to an Indian State and Union Territories other than Haryana |
5. | a) If the first-degree relation of the student in NRI and residing abroad ordinarily, then in such circumstances also, quo this year, should be considered eligible. It is natural that such definition would include the real brother and sister over and above the mother-father of the first-degree relation. b) As per the definition revised by the Hon'ble Apex Court, interpretation of clause 3 thereof as not made limited but if made in a broad perspective, then, it is clear that the person who wanted to consider such student as ward (Palya), then, he be considered to be proper subject to compliance of the following conditions: - 1. He should be the nearest relation. 2. In the definition of nearest relation, committee has considered following relation having blood relations. i) Real Brother and sister of father i.e real uncle and real aunt. ii) Real brother and Sister of mother i.e real maternal uncle and maternal aunt. iii) Father and mother of father i.e grandfather and grandmother. iv) Father and mother of mother i.e maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother. v) First degree-paternal and maternal cousins. vi) Such person should be NRI c) Such persons should ordinarily be residing abroad. d) Such person should have looked after such student as the guardian of the student and evidence to that effect must have been produced before the committee by such person. |
